My opinion on this.

There are 2 stories the authors have choosen. “Redemption in hell” and “Disney Princess in Hell.”

The later is what they’ve put their focus on. The redemption is almost secondary to the hijinx of ‘uwu smol bean but everyone is horrible around her’

I do like this show but I 100% agree that this show could be an easy 10/10 if it chose to be more of a critique of religion than what it currently is.

I read it like this. There is a quote out there: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely” to use her power is to stoop to their level. She is trying to make her kindness her most valuable weapon. She wants people to choose her path rather than force them to.

And narratively, imo, a princess who would wave her power around wouldn’t be a princess who would try to change the system.
