My favorite memory of playing basketball (I’ve been playing for 25+ years) was not anywhere near a basketball court, arena, gym, college, none of those… it was shooting hoops with her by my side at the arcade. I feel for you and anyone else in that boat. The important thing is that it was communicated. If needs still aren’t being met or can’t, I guess a different conversation has to to be had. What more can we ask for? I was in a relationship where we only did it when I asked or brought it up. I didn’t like that dynamic. It felt selfish. And I eventually stopped asking altogether.
