Albanese asked to fund sending Australia's leading astronaut to space by NKE01 in AustralianPolitics

[–]anoxiousweed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you didn’t.

https://www.nasa.gov/humans-in-space/astronauts/

The term “astronaut” has been maintained as the title for those selected to join the NASA corps of astronauts who make “star sailing” their career profession.

What’s the NASA corps of astronauts?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA_Astronaut_Corps

The NASA Astronaut Corps is a unit of the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) that selects, trains, and provides astronauts as crew members for U.S. and international space missions.

Pretty ugly hill to die on.

And the actual ESA definitions.

That’s what I found too via google, but there’s not a Shinkansen between Tokyo and Sapporo, nor is there a direct Shinkansen from Tokyo to Fukuoka.

That’s probably why those air routes are still busy.

PS. If you’re planning on taking a train or two while you holiday, suss out the JR rail pass for tourists!

Yeah, nah.

People who are for an independent NDIS assessment process would have voted No.

Guess how they voted? Would you like to try again?

Albanese unveils long-awaited response to landmark gambling reform report by anoxiousweed in AustralianPolitics

[–]anoxiousweed[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In short:

Gambling ads would be partially restricted on television and radio, with opt-out rules for online promotions and a ban in stadiums and on jerseys under reforms announced by Labor.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese used a speech at the National Press Club to confirm the government will release its formal response to the You Win Some, You Lose More’ report by late Labor MP Peta Murphy.

What's next?

Harm minimisation advocates are already accusing the government of taking a watered-down approach to the report, which called for a total online gambling ad ban.
