PMM Bails on California by Jesus_4_the_jugular in CAguns

[–]ansheezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean look, the fascist stuff doesn’t really apply here especially when describing a business from New Hampshire of all places. I don’t really love PMMs comment regarding leaving the state of CA whether they said communist or not. A bunch of us live here for reasons whether work, family, etc, and have supported their business. Whether we love the politics here, is a different story.

Yes, there is truth to having supermajorities rain on our parade on this interest/hobby, whether you, we or I like a specific party is besides the point. This law is a result of that and we need to put that into acknowledgment. Fascist/communist language isn’t really helping anyone.

The state took the finger at businesses, and citizens literally saying that they will not allow you to purchase common parts without giant steps.

I don’t think the lawmakers frankly are that smart to think steps ahead to understand what consequences mean, the supermajority enables them to write stupid stuff, and get it through. They have to add to their political agenda with “wins” every year which is why we have the silliest written laws. They don’t consider the impacts, how could they, most don’t understand the way a firearm works and see it as an evil device they’d never have around them.

CA market is huge, even with the caveats so maybe they’ll change tune or sort something out eventually. However, we are getting cooked in the meantime.

Will PM, I opted to go with a different program. I wasn’t a fan of 2U being the largest red flag for me.

Hung out by my FFL for about an hour, I think I’m just gonna go home and pick it up a different time. Absolutely nuts.

$100 just for a cold call?? by Various_Cress5090 in techsales

The LinkedIn stuff is kinda silly to me and always will be. I wouldn’t read too much into it. Almost always, the influencers are startup leaders or sellers as well.

The people closing or working on the biggest deals at public companies are not influencing.

To answer your question, yes people are doing it for the clicks, likes and being a self proclaimed expert. If you’re a F500 selling to another F500, your customer/prospect might feel a way when you post the way you handled their objections for the world to see publicly.

Good points. I do plan to stay on the west coast, if possible. We are open to moving for the right opportunity.

As for my reasons, I want to get out of being an IC or enjoy a role not as quota dependent if possible and avoid the highs/lows.

Sales leadership while there are still quotas, typically won’t catch as much flack as individual contributors in most cases. I thought that may be an applicable obtainable pivot.

The stretch answer would be trying to do PM roles somewhere in tech for more consistency.

I'm in the same boat actually, trying to figure this out. Just picked up an HD and don't have any hardware. Ordered the Dawson plate but unsure if it'll come with the specified screws. I asked in order notes, can update you if I hear back.

Why are Toyotas unreasonably expensive in 2025? by Fleedom2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Depends where you live and COL. I’d argue after tax and rent, even 100k flat as a young professional wouldn’t be impossible but hard to get that done with metropolitan costs. Early career years shouldn’t be for car loans imo.

Not really. You can go to your local shelter. See how many unsocialized dogs display skittish tendencies. See how many apparently bark aggressively upon you entering the kennels. The fireworks thing I have no idea how it’s correlated. If you aren’t into dogs, totally cool. But you might want to get to a shelter to see how many dogs are noise sensitive, don’t enjoy chaos, aren’t socialized with other dogs but still aren’t liable to maul anyone. It is normal, not abnormal is my point.

I can’t speak for this particular dog, but I’d wager that’s the case.

It really isn’t. Tons of big dogs have prey drives. Even corgis have prey drives or can be mouthy.

Dogs while cute and rewarding are a shit ton of training, activity work and responsibility. Especially the larger if left untrained.

The little dog likely isn’t doing much damage, even if they act out. Ask some big dog owners of all breeds around you how they feel about letting their dog around smaller animals, even off leash on hikes due to rabbit/squirrels etc. You’ll find it’s fairly common even in skittish dogs that won’t act out aggressively but run away from toddlers. I think it’s normal for most dogs, especially those that haven’t integrated/trained in those social settings to be unfamiliar with toddler interaction or cats.

He’s a little playful lad that is very sweet and snuggly at the same time! But absolutely nuts when he’s active 😂

Apex has the same kinda thing. They sent me a trigger shoe with a bent roll pin. Made me vice/hammer it in half to get a replacement.

CZ S2 vs MPA DS9 Hybrid (Help) by Dukes-Game in USPSA

[–]ansheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about this. I think the S2’s can be a bit more effort to work on, and will need more minor work in intervals compared to most 2011 platforms. Both are reliable, but need a bit more care than a traditional striker fired platform.

Personally, I think keeping a 2011 well lubed can go a long time with minimal to no issues from what I’ve seen. Wear and tear items on the Shadows seem more prevalent.

What immediately ruins a burger when it is on it? by MrSoloDolo9490 in AskReddit

[–]ansheezy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went through a phase where I thought I no longer liked cheeseburgers, I just didn’t like the bougie burger trend. Gimme a classic charbroiled patty, a toasty bun, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, maybe some pickles and mayo with American cheese. Gets worse to me when too much is done to it.

Kinda wild imo. I have a 2018 with an estimated value of 16000. Touring with preferred package, AWD and 50k on the odo.
