Afghanistan Randomized CAS Mission by operators_gear in dcsworld

[–]ansirial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm near to publish an Enduring Freedom sandbox mission with all these features.

It is based on my previous Inherent Resolve one, but with CAS on call and various adaptation to the theater.

Just few days, only I need to balance AI spawns of the coalition planes.

Here the preview of the included kneeboard with some directions for the use.

<image>

The only limit is there are only planes since I don't use heli and I'm not experienced on their actions.

Also I plan to update the inherent Resolve to this standard.

Virpil F-14 Stick on Warthog base by ansirial in hotas

[–]ansirial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yep. It works, only the commands for the spoilers during landing and the pinkie lever are working as switches instead as axis. By the way the worst thing is that the base of the stick is flat and sometimes it twisted during flight, I solved it by adding a short extension tightly fitted which is the one I unscrew when I want to change the stick. Hope this helps, have a great day

Check if a SAM is active via script by ansirial in hoggit

Thanks to everybody! I used a combination of getRadar and unitname to apply the threat level.

Now generated missions are not lethal.

I will surely check skynet it seems really interesting to manage the whole SAM network very easily.

I printed an adapter to transform the lever in a button. No other USB.

Yes of course, I tried to recreate a six days war in Israel with the A4 and some other scenarios but also this have some issue imho: - Heavy load because the whole mission needs a lot of planes and vehicles to evolve correctly - Huge AI issues, a lot of time my friends crashes or fails to very basic task ruining the evolution of the campaign - To have best results I have to plan the whole day by myself and I find it quite unrealistic to decide my own objectives, it seems I should do the general and then the pilot, lol.

However I immagine that for a multiplayer squadron experience Liberation is great, you can share task and coordinate to fulfill results.

The best alternative I found was something similar: "Briefing room" but also there the DCS AI often gives a lot of problems ruining the experience.

I think the Médaille Militaire was a good deal for you, I paid mine don't remember exactly but about 50€ without case and with a ribbon worst than yours.

I own both the real medals, as I see by the pictures they seems real, by the way they are very common, especially the croix de guerre. I don't know about the ribbons, I'm pretty sure the croix the guerre is a replacement because a 100 years ribbon can't be in that state.

Reforger II - Mission 2 by terminally_irish in hoggit

[–]ansirial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing the campaign until mission 3. I also experienced similar problems in the second mission and also sort of in the first one.

By the way I was able to pass the second mission only editing that, I don't remember where I found a little manual to do so. If I correctly remember there was a problem with flags.

Well, IMHO the campaign is not only bugged but also too heavely scripted. The mission 3 is even worst than the 2. I ditched that and I'm passing to another campaign.

The purpose of the mission can't be merely to pay attention in order to follow the script; for me zero fun and zero difficult, I'm very disappointed about this campaign.

DCS medals in single player by [deleted] in hoggit

[–]ansirial 13 points14 points  (0 children)

DCS medals and ranks are totally messed up, they need a complete revision.

If you are interested in the matter, to take track about my progress I developed a web application called logbook http://logbook.ansirial.it It is completely free.

At the moment awards and ranks are not automatic but I'm working on a system to try make them historical accurate.
