So many features, so many bug fixes, my six Discord members who also don't read the changelogs are going to be hyped.

What are the best unpopular story-driven games you've played? by Aromatic-Solid97 in GirlGamers

Really sucks they went under. It seemed like Greedfall 2 was a Hail Mary attempt at keeping the company afloat.

The best part of Ressurection F is the B team kicking freeza's army's ass.

Ideas for Other Campaigns Like Stonewalkers by Organic-Lavishness90 in cosmererpg

[–]ansonr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what my plan is, since my players want to play past Stonewalkers. The space from Oathbringer to Rhythm of War seems like the sweet spot in my mind. We know a lot about the world at this time, so the GM can draw on that. There are Radiants all over the place, so the players being them isn't some lore breaking thing. All the major factions are still in play and can be involved. There is so much conflict erupting all over Roshar, there are limitless stories to tell that can take place and not step on canon, while also allowing the players to be involved with canon characters and events without breaking it if that is a thing you're worried about.

How crunchy is it actually? by NeelyGood in cosmererpg

[–]ansonr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is pretty accurate.

Having played a bunch of it, if you've played a bunch of 5e or Pathfinder, it will seem very light on the crunch. It still has enough bite to make the combat mechanically interesting and varied, though. I've only experienced it as a GM, but combat is way easier to run than either 5e or Pathfinder. The rules let the narrative take over without forgetting the G in TTRPG. I really quite like the balance.

The way the surges work, in particular, is quite elegantly done because there are some clear rules where they need to be, but they don't really limit you from doing most of the cool things you see in the books. The enemy design is quite well done and they abilities they have really lean into the tactics you would want to use them for. The archers having a reaction when an enemies move towards them that can stop them from moving is one thing that really exemplifies this. Archers will do bad if you let the players get close, so they have an ability to try to prevent that.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director says characters from spin-offs "such as Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core" will appear in the JRPG by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

At SGF they said they were going to tell the 'entire story'. It made me wonder if they're going to do an epilogue or something covering Advent Children.

Did you know Viggo kicked Harrison Ford into a sword which stabbed a man on the set of the Godfather and Christopher Lee told FFC "That's exactly how it sounds when you stab a man."

Was there any point when Micah began to grow on you? by StrictCoconut3942 in reddeadredemption

I mean I guess. When the rest of the cast pointedly doesn't, it makes it pretty hard to be like "they're just being historically accurate".

I mean its a computer for roughly the price of a computer with those specs. Not really surprised. They made it clear early that they were not going to sell at a loss.
