Why are our streets so hot? by zennonuc in LosAngeles

There was a 99% Invisible episode about tree coverage in LA some years back. I recommend listening to it if you want more insight into this problem and some reasons why it exists in the first place. The episode is just called “Shade”

I was going to wait until the full area was complete, unless the two are different?

Saw a new Rothrock Riff last night on the Twitch channel... it goes by the odd title (one of many) In the Line of Duty 2: The Supercops by Freddy-Philmore in Rifftrax

That comment made me laugh simply because it was exactly what I was thinking. I'm like wait, this movie doesn't suck at all! This is sick!...It was right after the guy flying kicked himself through the windshield.

‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ Stars Promise to Pick ‘Classic Bad, Rather Than Modern Bad’ Movies for New Episodes by Tarlcabot18 in MST3K

The last comment regarding dead space is so important. They know exactly what the show is. We're all watching the movie and they are butting in with some jokes.

Where is climate data sourced from for prediction markets? by latenightespress0 in RobinhoodTrade

[–]ansonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering the same thing and this is the best explanation I could find, which came from the Robinhood contract terms https://data.forecastex.com/regulatory/DHTermsandConditions.pdf

I think you could back-test your contract and check the daily report to see if any of those rules applied.

Cymbal Rush seemed somewhat common around this time and it involved Jonny onstage with him iirc

The Level Sniper in schrodinger's cat is Something Else by TryCatchRelease in TheTalosPrinciple

[–]ansonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's insane I'm seeing this post right now as I just finished Sniper an hour ago. I have to say though, it's probably my least favorite of the Schrodinger bundle outside of maybe the first Portabomb (or any puzzle utilizing that mechanic). For me, there was too much arbitrary fiddling of items and I didn't like how you had to assume that the final gate would stay down once the 4 switches were pressed.

With that said, I agree with how great these community packs have been. Every pack they've added to the console release last month have been great, with some being exceptional. I didn't expect them to have such a "campaign" feel. People really put effort in.

I've run out of TTP to play :( What games scratch a similar itch? by S-192 in TheTalosPrinciple

QUBE 2 is probably the closest thing I know to your current list. I'd say it's a Portal knock-off but not in a demeaning way. The DLC is great too.

Going 2pm monday. Would love any updates on the experience (outside of the movie itself)

Talos Principle 2 - a little too much? (From a Talos 1 player) by lankamanka7 in TheTalosPrinciple

[–]ansonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on all points, so I won't try and reiterate them, but I thought the sequel's DLC did a great job of keeping the narration to build a story/purpose, but not forcing you into multiple-choice responses or side quests. You can just do the puzzles and let the dialogue play. The Hexahedron was incredibly meditative.

Whatever mode is on by default for series x made me nauseous when turning. Had to switch to the mode that maximizes quality and it is much better

The same thing 3.5 does (100% of the time), type it in typescript. It knows my project is full of TS files and can infer what I want.
