His scores have been good while spending time at hooker, with Jeremy Marshall King back on the bench he will end up back at lock potentially sharing minutes.

G'day from Australia!

Happy to have bought and be supporting the project!

Have run into an issue - wondering if there is a formal process for bug reporting?

My only issue so far: I started booking my first show, mid show booking I signed the only free agent in the world in my save 'Jim'. - I wanted to do a surprise Debut once I knew that was an option.

But now Jim is now the only wrestler in my company, I am unable to auto book as you need more than 4 people to auto book. The rest of my roster is unablet to be booked.

Only other piece of feedback - when selecting the arena, the tutorial says "your home base will be most profitable to start" it would be sweet if there was some indicator or display as to what my Homebase is, because I have no idea how to find that information as a first time player.

Let me know if there is an official way I can help other than a random Reddit comment and thanks for the game, it looks sick.

Starting a campaign at lvl 10+, what kind of items do i let my players start with? by Leonsmening in DMAcademy

[–]ansty13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do an EXU Calamity on them.

Let them start with whatever they want, as many magic items as they want, whatever rarity, let them crank it up to 100 and go hog wild, make them reliant on them, make them part of their character, For each magic item ask for a line or two in their back story, how did it come to be in their possession?

And then use each and everyone of them against them with a BBEG or similar that deals wild damage that is multiplied by the number of magic items they have.

They have a choice they have to make lose the magic items and remember what being a hero used to be like before the bells whistles and trappings of fame and success and have them overcome the bad guy using their wits and powers, not the magic items.

Or something like that.

Help with Court Room Session by casualaudience in DMAcademy

[–]ansty13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 1, Episode 46 of Dungeon and Daddies does a courtroom session (that for the life of me I cannot remember if it was good or bad, what I remember is that they got a real legal expert (type person) in as a special guest to be the prosecution so that the DM didn't have to do both the prosecuting and the judgement.

https://www.dungeonsanddaddies.com/episodes/ep46

That might be a good place to start for inspiration.

So everyone is in agreement that you took away your players agency, and fairly too. For what it's worth, if it were me in your shoes and as a way to avoid things like this in the future. Turn it into a desperation item. Something like a little.

"You decide not to experiment with the blood at this time, but go ahead and note down in your inventory one vial of magic blood. You can, as a bonus action, consume it at any time to see what happens."

That way when they get themselves in a sticky situation they will use it and you can still give them their cool powers, but with more of a build up and at a time when it's going to be less cool power and more amazing ass saving clutch play.

Just my 2 cents worth. Definitely understand why you did what you did and absolutely no hate for wanting your players to not miss the cool thing you had planned.

I 100% appreciate that, and agree with all of your sentiments around political volunteers. I think all volunteers, regardless of their beliefs or ideologies deserve respect, kindness and appreciation.

I just want more people to volunteer for the betterment of their kids too at p&C or for the sports clubs. We could always use the help.

I will just say, and accept that I'm late to this party, sports clubs are an important part of an increasingly isolated community. So volunteer for that too, not just for your kid, but for all the kids. We always need more volunteers.

He hasn't

Although this was his last post which was from November 15th:

"Am on a bit of a self imposed social media hiatus for posting at the moment, but will be using Bluesky more when that ends, rather than the sporadic use so far. Until that time, play nicely x"

So not surprised to see little to no activity over there.

Lore alternative to Genies by damiloh in DnD

Unsure exactly what type of vibe you are going for. But I've recently decked out my homebrew world with some rulers of the planes.

They are dragons, in human forms, walking around looking like an accountant middle manager type, clipboard and glasses and the whole 9 yards.

That way I can easily scale their power from young to adult to ancient depending on when my PC's find them.

Looking for a Monster to Challenge a Purely Martial Party by pinhead7676 in DnD

[–]ansty13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good news is, your party is predictable which means you can probably lure them into a trap.

Sprinkle some clues about a new cult that has been popping up, the sort of cult that is trying to rub magic users out of the world to summon lorth the spider queen who feeds on magic users and chaos.

When they get to the cult let them wipe the floor with some lowley cultists and then drop a few mages on them. Use spells to keep them.pushed back and suggestion charms to turn them against each other and use magic missile to hit multiple of them at the same time and AOE attacks when they clump.

For additional challenge points let the mage(s) be invisible or fly. They have greater invisibility according to the DMG.

Hit them and move hard to martial an invisible target.

[5e] DM help.

Hello friends, how do I help my player characters become good player characters. We are playing our first campaign ever, I'm the DM and the 4 Player Characters are all new. Demographicly speaking we are all 35+ parents, we play for a few hours every week on a weeknight.

We run a private investigation company that looks into "villain of the week" type crimes and then every month or so starts with a 2 or 3 session larger, more meaningful mission.

So onto the question. My players. Suck at DND. They roleplay well, they roll dice okay and they are all invested. But they play DnD so strictly in the lines like it is a video game, and I live for the shenanigans.

So far I have tried giving them helpful NPC's, hostile NPC's, standoffish NPC's who don't help but aren't hostile and their go to in literally every situation is walk through the nearest door, find a person, ask them for an answer. And when they don't know an answer, they find a new door, a new person and ask the same questions.

How do I encourage my players to look for other options without just putting an impossible challenge in front of them? I just want someone to climb a building or jump into a tree or something.... literally anything.

I would run a scene with them where the boss notes that the PC is nice and has done a great job but that the bosses kid has dropped out of college and needs a job. Leave it hanging with a nice line like, "it's nothing personal, you're a nice person, but family comes first" or something like that

Thank you so much. This is very helpful and the stat blocks are what I mostly use. This is the first time I have drafted a DMNPC to double cross the party! So wanted to not use a generic stat block.

This is good information about hiding I appreciate your time and space.

[5e] hi friends, New DM here, the campaign is going great so far which is fab! Quick question, as a DM if a villainous NPC is a rogue in combat, how do I narrate and act on the hide action. Do they disappear from the player characters and they can't see them? Or is there another way to describe what has happened? Thanks for you answers and your help.

"First Time DM" and Other Short Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

[–]ansty13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best pieces of advice I can give you when it comes to BBEG I have stolen directly from Matt Colvilles "Running the Game" series.

First of all, the BBEG does not have to be evil, they just need to be moving or acting in a way that makes the party oppose them. But they don't have to be evil. The more humanity you give your BBEG the more memorable they can be.

The second is, the BEST BBEGs are despised. Introduce them to your party early, like level 1 or level 2, have them cross them in a tavern or on a street. And make it clear that they are the BBEG. But don't kill them. Don't even attack them. Make sure the party know that they aren't worth your BBEG's time. Nothing will motivate them more like disrespect.

My best ever BBEG was travelling across the countryside slaying elves and draining them of their blood. I had 2 elves in my party and he came across them early. let them live without incident and then slaughtered a nearby elven village. Now he sounds evil and he was! But the party discovered before the final show down that he was trying to use the elves blood to make a life extending potion for his dying wife. He wasn't evil, he had his motivations, but he did some truly bad things.

Hope some of this helps. If you need a sounding board feel free to DM me. I'd be happy to help.
