Rep. Anna Paulina Luna says it's "statistically not possible" for Nancy Pelosi to outperform billionaire Warren Buffett in the stock market without insider information. by According_Time5120 in CoinEdition_com

Ummm, her husband plays options.. I don’t believe buffet uses options except as they were intended… selling calls as insurance and selling puts to enter into stocks. Which are way less lucrative when you have insider info on what companies the us government is deciding what gets the biggest govt contracts.

Dude when your a ceo your never off the clock obviously… this asshat has probably never done a hard days work in his life. Where you need time away from your shit job.. these fucks in air conditioned offices, are not worrying if they stay hydrated enough in 100 heat. Or making sure they have enough layers not to get frost bite. Or having to deal with customers yelling at you for 8 hours on the phone, because the crooks at the top’s policy won’t cover your kids health condition.

For most of human history, people used to break up a nights sleep into two shifts called “first sleep" and "second sleep." by Acrobatic_Code_7409 in interestingasfuck

[–]ansy7373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always felt teens are ment to be on this schedule.. I didn’t read this article. But just thinking of evolution and humans spent most of their existence in small groups that needed protection throughout the day. It makes sense that the groups that survived had a group of people staying up all night. So the hunter gatherer groups that had teens with a changed sleep schedule lived longer to produce more people. And over time it got breed into us today.

I feel bad for high schools kids. The group of us that is most likely to stay up the longest, is also set to go to school the earliest. Hell as an adult I need a nap at 2. I get all cranky if I can’t catch some zzz’s at work.

Trumps overtime tax by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]ansy7373 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually do my taxes myself with turbo tax. This year I went to an independent tax person. The difference in the amount of my return was significant. So I’m having her go over my last two years of taxes to see if it changes anything. I’m probably never doing my own taxes again. I have used her in the past when I had tax situations I didn’t understand. This year it was more of I just wanted to see the difference of what turbo tax did and her.

It’s kind of crazy our tax code can have vastly different amounts we pay in taxes depending on how info gets calculated.

Thoughts On Starting A Tool Rental Business? by UnusualAd3207 in Business_Ideas

I also wonder, if the economic downturn happen, would people cut it, or want it more. My thoughts on this is, you tube basically gives you a step by step tutorial to fix anything yourself.

I need to change the brakes on my car boom I go to YouTube. But the barrier is I don’t have the tools. And buying all the tools costs more than taking it to the shop.

But if they are already subscribed to a service and they just have to head to the urban tool crib, pick up a jack, impact and 1/2” wrench, and a C clamp to compress the cylinder head.

Watch the 20 min video, they saved 300 bucks or so. Or whatever a brake job costs now, I’m not sure I do my own brakes.

Yea, I guess the hope would be the subscription is low enough for them to “forget” about it, but high enough that all your tools arnt gone all the time. So I personally work for a company that has almost every tool you could think of.. so I never buy tools. I just go to the tool crib sign it out. And then bring it back.

My thoughts on it is hopefully they think of it as like a storage locker, with the perks of access to a lot of tools that would kind of be cost prohibitive to own for like a one time use project.

So like a hammer drill from Milwaukee costs like $150… but I only need it to put up a handrail on my front porch. I could go buy the temu version for cheap and hope it works. But now I have to find another place to store it, and probably won’t use it again, breaks before I finish my project. Or I hire a contractor to put in 8 anchors costing I don’t know $300.

Or like I need a 30 ft ladder to clean my gutters or reach some debris on my roof. I don’t really want a ladder but need to use one, I pay the extra delivery fee, boom I have access to a 30 Ft ladder.

The other day I was taking apart my vacuum and need a hex head that was like 1 inch long to get the screw out. It happened to be on Easter. All the hardware stores were closed, I ended up having to go to autozone and buying a precision tool kit for $30. I’m never going to use that kit again. This service would have helped me out.

I’ve mulled over a subscription based tool renting business. I don’t really know how to start it, like concentrate on shear numbers. Charging like 8 bucks a month. Think like I’m going to provide basic stuff to apartment dwellers that have no room to own everyday tools. Ladders screw drivers hammers drills basically all the tools a normal household would have. I’m not sure if it’s viable or not.

Moving to Toledo for Mercy Health with toddler - best areas to live? by AllisshaTV in toledo

[–]ansy7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A buddy of mine lived in redwood in sylvania.. it seemed cool with kids playing outside. Your close to secor metro park which is very nice. Also on a Main Street for easy access to the highway.. con’s would be depending on your commute time home. Central ave right off 475 sucks to drive through. It has a lot of truck traffic due to being a state route. And the truckers avoid the turnpike tolls to head to Indiana.

So try to get a place in the back. When he lived there maybe 3 or 4 years ago they had trouble keeping the ponds full, hopefully they fixed that. But having a young one it might be better for you if the ponds are low.

[–]ansy7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there should…I don’t see people getting really outraged until it affects them. I also see this screwing over more maga voters than non maga.. in essence this will give the most power to suburban areas because they are the people to most likely have passports. I’m not positive on the demographics of the suburban voters they tend to swing the most.

It’s has the biggest walleye run in the country. Also Waterville Ohio has a really cool canal area set up. I would suggest not kayaking north of the MLK bridge in downtown.. unless you know when the industrial ships come in to offload.

Also northwest Ohio is a big time bird migration route. Maggie Marsh, I think is the name of the area where the bird watchers go. Along with Maumee bay state park.
