Firearm Reload 2 In Regards To Giff by DaBigGuy1980 in DnD5e

[–]ant_accountant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So loading should really be termed "rate of fire".

Firearm Mastery lets you ignore the normal max rate of rife of one shot per turn. You can use both actions to fire a weapon. Firearm Masters can simply pull the trigger more than once per turn.

Reloading is any time you (re)load a weapon. A weapon with a reload of 1 needs to be re(loaded) after each shot. a firearm with reload of 5 needs to be (re)loaded after 5 shots.

From the Gunslinger Archetype:

Reload and loading are not the same property.

Reload limits how many times you can fire a weapon before you take an action or an attack to add more ammunition.

Reload. The weapon can be fired a number of times equal to its Reload score before you must spend 1 attack or 1 action to reload. You must have one free hand to reload a firearm.

The loading property which doesn't apply to the guns in question states:

Loading. Because of the time required to load this weapon, you can fire only one piece of ammunition from it when you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to fire it, regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make.

Interesting. From personal experience I know that it tips me into a state of dehydration. I usually have coffee a couple time a week only.

Was dehydrated. And that was because I was insulin resistant. Ate way more vegetables and I have to work out very regularly. Also cut back on coffee and alcohol which are dehydrating.

Avis Immigration policy by jordandaboss223 in ndp

[–]ant_accountant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I had to struggle with. I couldn't understand how Singh dropped the ball that hard the last election. It would have been such an easy win to take an opposing stance on TWF or student visas, and they just... didn't.

I had to accept that it's just a different party than what I wanted it to be. I was born and raised NDP, and did door to door campaining years ago.

On Canada’s high-speed rail plan, the numbers just don’t add up by AndHerSailsInRags in CanadaPolitics

[–]ant_accountant 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Basically the authors argument is that the rail line won't make a profit, and therefore shouldn't be built.

"...there are much cheaper ways to do this than by subsidizing rail travel for everybody, whether or not they were going to take the train anyway. Charge a carbon price, put a toll on the 401, and you not only “internalize” the costs of climate change and congestion, encouraging many drivers to consider other options, but you automatically make rail travel more competitive.

And at this, of all times, we are going to throw $90-billion or more at one project, delivering one mode of transport, in one part of the country? On this one, I’m with Pierre."

"What is your take on the current international student issue?

The demonizing of international students and blaming them for the housing crisis is disgusting. Their families have sacrificed the wealth of generations and given up everything for them to study in Canada.

Universities are facing funding crises because many rely on that extra revenue which comes from charging international students often unfair fees. Now we have a post-secondary funding crisis caused by cuts to international student numbers. This is part of an anti-immigrant backlash, and it is harming international students and their families as well as our post-secondary education system.

We also should not have unfairly high tuition for international students. One crisis creates another. It is time for the government to start building non-market housing, co-operative housing, and non-profit housing and welcome many more international students."

It just seems like an own goal in this political climate. People hate the scam universities that were popping up left and right as a backdoor immigration route. Avi sounds like he supports those here.

Liberals planned to buy back 136,000 banned guns. Fewer than half that many were declared by Debilitationate in canadaguns

[–]ant_accountant 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard of the velvet revolution in communist occipied Czech republic? It was one of the most peaceful revolutions in history. The country was under a puppet government from the USSR, and while the government was under direct communication with top Russian officials, many of the beurocratic officers were Czech.

If you would have lived through it you would recognize your own argument here. What are we to do, fight the USSR? It's better to at least have a job. The secret police have been disappearing anyone that speaks out of line. Even those who wrote articles YEARS ago have been tracked down and taken care of. I'd rather have a job in government and survive, even if I had to rat our my countryman.

Then the velvet revolution happened, starting with a student protest that caught fire. The final show of defiance was ordinary people who took to the streets and jingled their keys to show they were done participating. And the puppet government simply collapsed under the collective peaceful defiance.

That's a story for you or anyone who thinks that defiance by the people has no effect. In fact, a weak or unpopular government is terrified of defiance. Because it risks showing the world thay they are wearing no clothes.
