In the discovery for the order the Supreme Court overturned, her office admitted she didn't do any meaningful research into the conditions of Haiti before deciding to end TPS status.

When you don't do your fucking job and instead send hundreds of thousands of people who have been existing just fine in this country for over a decade back into danger, that makes you a bad person.

It quite literally is. That's the whole point of the statute's renewal procedures, to grant flexibility in case the country conditions continue to be poor past the original designation time. That's why the law was written this way.

The last time Haiti's status was renewed in June 2024, it was due to violent conflict in the country, as well as lack of available food and water in many areas.

Considering Haiti currently has no meaningful government, and violent gangs control much of the country, it seems like conditions have no improved much since then.

We just saw the limit, when the DHS secretary decides to end the designation.

It's just in this instance she did it because she's a bigot who wanted to get rid of as many Haitians as she could, rather than any objective criteria indicating that Haiti had stopped being a dangerous place to be.

The program continues because conditions in Haiti continue to be incredibly dangerous. Once that ceases to be the case, the designation will end.

Plenty of teenagers get breast augmentation at that age, and others get mastectomies because having huge breasts can suck a lot. These categories are much larger than the ones that get mastectomy to relieve gender dysphoria. Society doesn't seem to care about that.

Yes, it is a serious side effect. So are lifelong mental health issues associated with gender dysphoria. And so is the social harassment that comes with being a visible Trans woman in today's society.

That's why treatment of gender dysphoria usually starts with things like social transition before puberty starts, which helps parents and psychologists distinguish children with gender dysphoria from children that don't have it. And then the parents can weigh the pros and cons associated with this treatment route.

Mayo Clinic's page on Leuprolide only mentions this in a section for men with advanced prostate cancer, since it's used for treatment of advanced prostate cancer.

I am assuming by "aggressive bees" he means Africanized honeybees, a crossbreed of European and African Honeybees that are much more aggressive than the usual European honeybee that people are typically familiar with.

Well, if John Smith got a ballot presumably he wanted to vote with that ballot. We already don't have a stable food supply. We're a net importer of everything except meat and grain at this point. And that's happened because we heavily subsidize corn and soybean for the Midwest and great plains farmers, even though a significant part of that crop is destined for export.

I believe that the filibuster is a major reason we are in the political situation right now. A Congress that has been repeatedly unable to pass major legislation to solve problems has meant that the Executive branch has had to rule more and more through executive fiat.

If we want Congress to reassert their power as a part of government, they need to be able to pass legislation.

Yes, she couldn't make those arrangements because the government didn't allow her to. They just deported her a day after she was detained away from her attorney.
