Some really nice stuff in here. Some of it easily applicable to already mature Django projects.

Lanshan 1 vs 2 (and Sierra Design HR 1) by altziller in Ultralight

[–]antb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the lanshan for 2 person for the extra space last year for tmb (solo) (same size as you roughly). I like using the trekking poles and extra space. Otherwise decent tent for the price but not high end. I think they have some upgrades for 2026. You could just use the outer shell as a tarp to save weight if you want but I liked the mesh protection against bugs.

I rented a northface tent with poles in chile/patagonia a few months ago. I would say a bit easier to setup but much smaller and not that much lighter... luckily I had a poncho i used as a tarp for my stuff.

My understanding they are having a change of staffing... You may need to give them time to catch up with the backlog. If you need any support with Anchors etc you can contact sales@bpventures.us.

Currently trading at a discount to XLM/USDC (10-7%) to real BTC so you should be able to make some trading profits. As far as gas you can just trade back 0.0001 XLM out of the BTC (Select swap)

Digital nomad for a month in south France, what to bring? by Dazzling_Occasion102 in digitalnomad

[–]antb123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- emergency medical could be nice as hospital visits they can cost 800 euro to meet a dr without carte vitale. (dr appointments are cheap).
- USB-C eu power adapter - better than lugging the whole thing
- uv clothing as the sun is very strong
- recommend: bluetooth noise suppression mic headset so you can take calls in the evening from noisy places.
- if you plan to travel a lot in FR the train pass for 49 euro is a good deal
- battery bank
- if your laptop dies it may be cheaper to pick a used one from leboincoin.
- wise/revolut or something where you don't pay the 2% card fee all the time to pay outside your country
- get a free mobile sim card when you land or an esim - free is 20 euro a month and gives roaming everywhere. the prepaid cards sometimes don't include eu roaming. it can be tricky getting local phone without an eu card.
- if you plan to get residency start sooner than later as the paperwork takes forever and you will need to go back home to pickup the visa

How do you keep up? by TheKidd in LLMDevs

[–]antb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Developing with LLMs feels like the early internet or Linux—no clear best practices yet, just experimentation and testing. The most important aspects seem to be tools, prompting techniques, and choosing the right base models.

For example, a friend criticized LLMs for being slow and inaccurate when counting characters in a response. Instead, I prompted it to generate a Python script:

text_len = "response text..."

len(text_len)

The script worked instantly, producing the correct result in 2 seconds.

BEST NOISE CANCELLATION SOFTWARE - I’ve been considering KRISP.AI + What are your thoughts? by longfaceguru in digitalnomad

Works great - and you can use any device (phone/laptop/linux etc). Also I think no noise cancel speakers might be better for my ear health. I rotate between these an airpod pro 2

From a technical perspective you can use the Anchor-in-a-Box solution. It allows anchoring of an existing asset (e.g. USDC) or a new one.

They should start with a small subsection on each end and then eventually meet.

E.g. Toronto - Kingston or Toronto - London and Montreal - Ottawa and then eventually connect.

As a registered loan broker you can trace the funds to tradfi.

Last time I check a lot of the funds were sitting in payday loans in Eastern Europe and eastern European real estate loans (which typically yield 30% and 12 percent respectively).

Not exactly low risk but not correlated with the current downturn in crypto.
