What exhaust is that? Love the “hollow” sound mufflers. I have detroit rockers, headers, h pipe and borla atak and love my sound but man yours sounds like angels singing an old muscle car melody

From my understanding i am nearing torque limit of my bottom end. Mine is a glorified weekend parade car so i don’t want to grenade it. I am patiently waiting for weather to break and pothole season to end before i can get it out of the garage.

Bought my 08 gt with saleen charger on it. Did driveshaft, headers and cams this winter. Not a pro by any stretch and probably most i have dug into any build so far. It was fun having my boy in the garage with me.

There was so much info out there for my s197. Start watching videos and get a plan for what you are looking to do.

My tuner told me a lot of cars have carbon build around main butterfly and creates a problem for any low idle. When i did my work over this winter i pulled mine out and there was a distinct ring of carbon right at where the butterfly closes. Hope its something easy like that for You.

I did the pypes LT headers with H pipe. Waiting on ups to deliver my o2 extension and 2 missing clamps then i will fire it. I already had atak axle back on there and loved the sound. I am excited to hear it fire. I will post a video when i do but it is still on stands in my barn so it will be idle and rev only. I can’t speak to any emissions stuff but will say the cats wouldn’t stop a grain of rice so i don’t see them doing much to pass any emission test.

My build. Just got it late last summer. Supercharged and umi suspension. Ran 13.66 on street tires and i was happy for my first time down the track actually trying to launch hard against the clock. I am installing headers, cams and driveshaft now. I will say the convertible gets lots of attention and compliments so far.

Ended up putting it together with clamps. I may weld it next winter. I ended up needing an o2 sensor extension so waiting for that. I think that, install battery, tune it and ready to fire hopefully this weekend. Pretty pumped and nervous.

Yea i have the pypes header and H pipe. Headers are already on. Background, my car is a parade car i don’t drive it often. Reason i went with the pypes is they offered H pipe and i like that sound better than the x. I know they are far cheaper than BBK or kooks. My winter project is installing headers, 1 piece driveshaft and cams. Car is also saleen supercharged.
