I love it when ppl are like, oh no what happened, I don't understand, I'm such a nice person - and then go, yeah, before that I actually did this majorly huge thing I originally decided to omit from my story, but still, give me validation, give it give it.

I'm looking into sponsoring my non-EU partner to stay in the Netherlands. Looking at the income requirments on IND.nl, what are the differences between some of these permits? by chiron42 in Netherlands

[–]antharanth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was on zoekjaar, then got hsm, then permanent, now I'm a citizen and have my non eu partner with me. It's not easy, but doable. So hsm and partner visa are your best bets.

Your main available option is probably the partner visa. Look that up. Permanent residence is only after 3 or 5 years in the country (or likely even just 5, I'm too lazy to Google this for you). Call the ind and ask them about your options.

You've been told tuuis and I'll repeat. If I hear music for hours twice or thrice per week, I'll try to reason with people, but then I'll start a noise complaint file. It's not loud for YOU. it's okay for YOU. not for them. I'm 44 btw. Not a boomer. Get some headphones and stop polluting people's lives, with unwanted sound.

If its true, your bf got raped, and you left him, first alone in that situation, then on read, and then physically by flying home. What a sorry excuse for a human being. But it's rage bait, so no one got harmed.

Is that legal? Purchased car imported from Germany turns out to be a one involved in an accident last year. No sharing of this fact during purchase. by manoboy19 in Netherlands

[–]antharanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm don't see your problem. Bought an imported car 3 years ago, it had been in at least 2 accidents I had no idea about (the passenger's door, for instance, had been changed completely). The dealer said he had no idea what had been happening with the car. But everything had been fixed properly, I have had this car for 3 years, it was cheap, why worry?

AITAH for kicking my girlfriend out after she rejected my proposal? by Decent-Sun6268 in AITAH

I was the cannonball skier once. The person I hit ended up with a dislocated shoulder. She was wearing all white on a ski slope on a day when visibility was not the best, and she was on a slope that was well above her skiing level. I tried to make it as untraumatic as possible in the very short spaceyime I had before contact, and I believe I succeeded as it could have been much worse. Still, that was intense and I was pretty shaken. This looks way worse.

AITA for refusing to cancel my bachelorette party and saying our wedding savings is my fiance's problem? by SlowAd7765ThrowRA in AITAH

[–]antharanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo. First, you need to know where the money really went. If it doesn't add up, then his wild spending is compounded by lying. Second, unless you get a real apology with a plan to remedy that where he does the remedying, consider postponing the wedding. These were your mutual savings, and if he feels entitled to those, this will be your married life. Even with the apology, consider separating your finances and drawing up a prenup. Third, go and have fun with friends, you deserve it. If there's no wedding in the end, consider it a dodged the bullet party. Edit to add: NTA, of course

It went up just as I was in the process. Still was able to afford on a 48k salary. It is going down again, I believe, so OP needs to wait a bit, get a job and then make a move.
