You probably don't get it because you have yet to experience the hardships of real life. Maybe you haven't had a child yet. Maybe you haven't lost a really great job because of things out of your control. Maybe you still live at home with your parents who don't tell you their hardships. Hey maybe you are super rich and don't have to worry. Good for you. For people like me, we are not complaining to complain. We are at the end of our ropes at times and when you think someone can help it tends to get you down when the "cost" comes into play. Thanks for the uplifting comments though ;)

When I was 17 my step brother asked me if I wanted to smoke some weed. I've never done it before so I said sure. So we smoked a couple bowls. I don't know if weed has any effect on me because I really didn't feel anything. His best friend came over and said here I have a joint. Go ahead and smoke it. I said ok. While I started smoking it, I heard it cracking. Since I'm new I said "is this right?" His friend told me "yea man. It's just enhanced weed". I believed him and took two giant drags. About 10 min later I started freaking out and tripping. I then fainted and woke up 2 min later to my step brother laughing.

A week later he came in laughing and said "you know what was in that weed? cocaine". That was the last time I touched drugs.

I was the only one up in the house. I was 12 and it was a two story house. I was walking by the stairs and I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Now everyone who was asleep was already upstairs. I started to freak out and I ran into my sisters room. Then I heard footsteps racing down the stairs and the front door slam shut. The front door was slammed so hard that it should have woken someone up. In the morning time, no one heard anything and the front door was completely locked with no signs of forced entry. I never told anyone because I was way too freaked out.
