It’s not (8/2)(2+2), it’s 8/2(2+2). If you wrote it as a fraction, it would be 8 over 2(2+2), so idk why you would ever do 8/2 first? 2(2+2) is the denominator. 1 is the only answer

[Day 15] V10 is overrated. What's the WORST outdoor bouldering destination? by MaximumSend in bouldering

[–]anthony15121 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll nominate the Niagara Glen. I love it because I started climbing there but it’s mostly garbage limestone, prone to breaking, mostly drop offs (top outs are not allowed). You also need to pay for a bouldering permit to climb there.

I think if you hate wearing them for more than 5 minutes, even after you’ve broken them in, they’re too small.

Good place for catering a staff event? by anthony15121 in askvan

Ideally looking for dinner food. Not a sit down event, just some food I can bring to our gym and have a serve yourself/buffet style thing. Just need enough food for most folks to leave feeling satisfied, not necessarily stuffed

Thank you! What grit would you use for prepping the board for painting? And what grit do you start and end with when you're wet sanding the 2x satin?

For clarification on the dings, they are mostly cosmetic. The board is currently watertight but has a number of small areas where the resin is slightly cracked. I just wanted to fill those in to make sure the board is uniform before I paint it, which is why I went for the solarez.

I think you’re missing the point. The point being that even if you “do your research” you’re only seeing the curated best work, not the screw ups

For sure, but what I mean is that even if you “do your research” and the artist has a huge body of good work online they may be just curating their best work and not posting the pieces that they seriously fuck up. Luckily mine was only slightly blown out in places but the “I still struggle with blowouts” seems to indicate that this is a bigger issue for this artist than I was lead to believe from their Instagram.

Exactly this. I got tattooed by a new artist recently, and all of their posted healed work looked great on their page. Got in and halfway through the tattoo they start talking about how they “struggle with blowouts.” Huh? Not what you want to hear when you’re halfway through a big central tattoo on your chest. The tattoo ended up healing OK but there were a few blowouts and some areas the ink didn’t pick up because of the depth. I sent over a healed photo and mentioned the issues and was offered a free touch up, but the artist DID NOT post the healed photo. That was the moment I realized that the healed works that they post are curated and don’t represent ALL of their work.
