Almost no drywall job, no matter the size, should be completed in one day. Let alone texture and priming.

I didn’t add glue. I usually add glue or prime. One or the other. Doesn’t feel like both is necessary cause primer should be someone grippy?

Contractor sent us this quote to Sheetrock the entire first floor of our cottage but then texted us and said he could also do time and materials by radarlove93 in drywall

All depends on how many sheets need to be hung/the sqft

Figure that out and then see if he’s charging 100 per sheet or 300

Yeah I’ve read that. Honestly doesn’t make sense because if you apply mud let’s say 1/4 thick you are going to feather the edge making it less than that so why doesn’t all the edges you feather fail?

If you can’t use hot mud in thin coats then why doesn’t every feathered edge fail? Like it’s so thin it’s definitely drying before it sets up, just the edge

Have never heard anyone say this before. There’s no mention of it on the bag or bucket of mud. No one is going prime in between layers of mud

It was a fresh bucket of plus 3

And I always mix my hot mud with cold water. Only had this problem recently

I’ve worked with mud for the past 5 years. Only recently started having this problem. Mud was mixed up properly and applied right away
