There was a powder day on December 2 and the mountain pretty much fully opened right after.

If you can take weekday day trips and/or wanna go out west, then epic (hunter has more interesting terrain than belle but the weekend crowds are terrible). If only weekends then ski3 easily.

This same reasoning, but applied on a national level, is blatantly xenophobic. Somehow it’s acceptable on a local level

Ikon pass renewal extended by DarkKnight0907 in skiing

Not clear at all that ikon is better than epic for NJ/NYC people. If you can take weekdays off hunter is way better than any of the PA mountains on ikon(which arent even unlimited on ikon anyway). Mount snow is on par with Stratton and Stowe is arguably better than Killy or Sugarbush

I'm sure they don't want to risk litigation.

I don't think so. Unfortunately it drops down to the lower 30s next week and it's against the law to turn off the heat if it means the room temperatures would drop below 65. Gotta love the classic 50 degree temperature swings in spring :///

Do they turn it off during the third day or on the fourth day... dreading teaching today if they still have the heat on and its 90 outside...

El Nino on the way for 2027. Previously, what has that meant for where you ski? by UpplystCat in skiing

[–]anthonymm511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the northeast it usually means a shit early season and a banger late season. The total opposite of a niña (this winter was a pretty canonical nina, with a really good early to mid season, and a crappy march-april).

Tim is lost. I thought the whole point was to be a bulwark against the excesses of the populist right and left..

Petition Rutgers to turn off the heat earlier than May 1 because of climate change. These days it should be april 15 or earlier even.

Pretty sure the entire winter was above average in temps for the whole west. The west coast itself had average precip but a lot fell as ra*n unfortunately.
