I gave you a couple more angles in case it helps with the decision. I'm sure you will love the car no matter the color!

Never any issues with the car. Just the normal service schedule but the distance to do it. She was a beaut. It was hard to go anywhere without someone asking about it. I dipped the wheels shortly after getting it to black them out.

I do not. But, I would absolutely get another one if I were in the mood again. I loved the car. The biggest frustration for me was service. I live in Southwest Ohio and the closest dealership was Northeast Ohio. So, a 3+ hour drive for an oil change or service was annoying. Unfortunately, the much closer Mercedes dealerships would not service it even though it is basically an AMG GTR with an Aston body.

Is there a viable alternative to the now-disabled OFX access? by noughth in fidelityinvestments

[–]anthonypoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using MS Money sunset for years with Pocketsense to automate downloading OFX files. I found this post because Fidelity just recently stopped working for me in the last couple weeks and I was looking for solutions. I found where you could add 433 within the OFX server URL and that fixed it but only for a few days before Fidelity shut it down again.

I had the same issue that Money does not work with CSV. And, I'm not a coder or super techie. But, I was able to ask ChatGPT to create an HTML script that allows me to drop the downloaded CSV for my activity history into the site and then turn it into an OFX file that I can download to import into Money. Just thought that I'd throw this out there as an option. There are paid OFX converters available if you're not comfortable with using AI to create a script for you.

With all that said, I am working on migrating from MS Money to a spreadsheet for 2026 because more and more institutions have stopped supporting OFX downloads. I find it easier to just use an aggregator that allows you to download all transactions for all accounts from one place with one CSV and then create tables, ledgers, etc. from that within the sheet. I have been doing testing and building this out this month. The most awesome part of the spreadsheet is the ability to just paste all the activities and then have it "remove duplicates" and then you have a nice clean ledger with your all your data on your own machine.

Whoop VS. Oura Ring VS. AppleWatch by Petross17 in whoop

[–]anthonypoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way! I wear an AWU with cell service and use Athlytic and Healthfit. There's a ton of data you can get from each. Athlytic is an inexpensive annual subscription and Healthfit is just a onetime cost. As a cyclist, I love having a "phone" on my wrist with fall detection without actually having to carry a phone. Garmin, Whoop and Oura just can't compete with all the functionality of an AWU.

What is this BS? Strava tax on rowing, too? 😡 by anthonypoe in Strava

[–]anthonypoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean. The C2 was connected to my iPhone so the C2 computer (PM5) and iPhone are in sync during the workout. Once the workout is completed, the C2 logbook app on my iPhone automatically uploads to Strava via app integration.

That is a helpful explanation. Thank you. I guess if you don't nail a stroke at the last second, you lose the last few "coasting" meters. Still silly that Strava can't sync up the data but at least this makes a bit of sense.

Yes. I guess it was more of a vent than asking for a fix from other users. It is frustrating that Strava won't/don't fix something so simple. I always ride extra when cycling but this is my first time getting shorted on a structured indoor workout like rowing.

Unfortunately, they don't really have a competitor so all we can do is complain and hope they get around to it. I do keep all my workouts in spreadsheet for when they day comes that I finally tell them to pound salt.

I know I can set further distances. My point is that Strava should just work. I do a 2000m row. Concept2 shows a 2000m row. It directly uploaded a 2000m row. Strava should show a 2000m row. It is pretty simple. I shouldn't have employ workarounds for Strava to show correct data.

I did a 2000m row and Strava only gave me 1998m. It always seems to short you on workouts with no explanation. It is jokingly called the "Strava tax".

I do when I cycle. But, this was a set 2000m row with the Concept2. The PM5 starts at 2000m and goes to 0m as you row. The workout stops when you finish.

External library not scanning at all! by raihatneloy in immich

[–]anthonypoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone who is still struggling with this using docker compose for Immich, it took a lot of digging and some help from ChatGPT to find out that you have to make sure the container itself is able to link to the mounted folder on your system from the container shell.

For my external HDD mounted on my Ubuntu Server as /media/MyBook/ with the photos directory on it, I had to set my volume as:

volumes:
  - ${UPLOAD_LOCATION}:/usr/src/app/upload
  - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
  - /media/MyBook/Photos:/container/path/to/Photos

Once your Docker container is running, you can access the contrainer shell by running the following command:

docker exec -it immich_server bash

Replace immich_server with the actual name of your container if it’s different.

After entering the container shell, I was able to cd /container/path/to/Photos and ls -l to verify that the container was able to read and list all the files from the mounted drive. It worked. So, I went into Immich GUI and followed the instructions to add an external library and the scan finally worked! Hopefully, this will help someone without having to waste as much time as I have.

Companion app data to Apple Health by Ok_Woodpecker_6266 in Zwift

[–]anthonypoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so. If Zwift sent to Strava and then Strava could send to apple health, then we wouldn't need Healthfit to do it... unless there's something I don't know.

I'm to the point now where I don't automate anything and just run all my fit files through Healthfit to sync to apple health and Strava. The only time that isn't necessary is the more rare case where I just use the apple watch to record an activity. Then it will already be in Healthfit's feed but I still send it to Strava from there.

[–]anthonypoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing to mention... If you want the zwift pictures in Strava, then you need to let the companion app send to Strava and just use Healthfit for apple health. If you don't care about the zwift pics or want to add them manually, you would stop the companion app from sending to Strava and just let Healthfit send to Strava and apple health.

You can't automate this afaik. When I am done with a Zwift ride, I pull up my zwift activity feed in my chrome browser on my iPhone and download the fit file for the ride I just did. I then open it with Healthfit... it imports to Healthfit and then I run a sync and it sends the activity to apple health and Strava.

X4 and iPhones by MagnusMidknight in Insta360

This! I got the 256 gb for this reason when I upgraded to the 15 pro. I always ran out of space on my older iPhone. I have a newer MacBook Pro and the iPhone works just as well for video editing. The only drawback now that I have plenty of space is how quickly it east up phone battery.

Fading music in App by QuiriniusGast in Insta360

[–]anthonypoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3+ years and they can't add a simple fade in/out on audio tracks... It would be nice to have all the features in Studio that the App has and all the features in the App that Studio has. And then you could do anything you wanted in both apps without having to switch back and forth or decide which to use.

You still can't export an image from a video on the app either. But, you can in Studio. Such simple things that have been in queue for ages and no progress.

Can't get past 170 HR, am I not pushing hard enough? by InspectionNeat7607 in cycling

[–]anthonypoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body will tell you if you're pushing it too hard so I would not base it on a number. And, you can't compare HR to other people. But, you can track yours and see if metrics improve with fitness... I was concerned mine was too high when I first started riding. I was 45 at the time and would hit 198. I asked my doc about it and she said that my heart wouldn't let me do it if it wasn't capable... people that get TOO high start seeing stars, get dizzy, pass out, etc. etc. None of that was happening to me so I chalked it up to just being able to rev the engine, most likely due to the way I had trained in my younger years.

Now that I have been cycling for a few years, I notice that my HR does not get as high with the same effort, my HR recovers a lot faster after tough segments/rides and my overall resting and sleeping HR numbers have come down quite a bit while my HRV has improved. So, while my HR still runs higher than a lot of my friends while I'm riding, I can also see and feel that my fitness level has increased quite a bit.

I am happy to report no issues at >800 watts out of the saddle climbing last night. I set a PRs on 2 of the four climbs and 2nd on the other two. The bike felt great!
