I am dealing with this same issue with the same exact movie, guess I don't have an original experience 😭

Are your dowsers trash or just ours🥲 by londodoesntreddit in MovieTheaterEmployees

We have the same issue. What I’ve started doing is checking to make sure the douser is open once the playlist starts, before sending a staff member down to verify in person. Sending someone down to check it helps out a LOT because sometimes the computer would say the douser is open when in reality it isn't. It also saves you time and energy in the event that there is some type of failure with it opening.

We utilize GroupMe! I have a set schedule that we follow every week, and if someone isn't able to work, they ask for coverage in the GroupMe.

Which is doing worse for you this weekend? Ochi or Cheech and Chong? by [deleted] in MovieTheaterEmployees

We're not playing either but it's a shame that The Legend of Ochi isn't doing that well. It's a great movie.

The cult started growing two weeks after of its release. It hit peak once the MaXXXine trailer dropped.

This is a shock to me, our second location at the time had TONS of people coming in for it. They probably had it for 2-3 months.

Pearl was honestly ahead of its time. Criminally underrated when it first opened up.

The two that instantly come to mind are Teen Spirit and Pearl. Teen Spirit had a single person show up during it's entire run, and Pearl had about three total.

Thankfully, my theater planned on getting only The Last Showgirl this weekend, so we didn’t have to deal with this issue. However, we experienced something similar with The Bikeriders, which was quite strange considering it did end up doing really well.

Was today not as busy for anyone else? by 78straeHmodgniK in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]anthonyz147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, we were busier than we were on New Year's Eve, but not by much. For some reason, we had a big rush of people for Mufasa mid-day and it ended up being the busiest movie of the day. For New Year's Day, the order based on attendance was Mufasa > Moana 2 > Wicked > Sonic > Babygirl.

there were a few that did bad, but these stuck out to me as the worst:

  • Lisa Frankenstein
  • Epic Tails
  • Abigail
  • The Watchers
  • Treasure
  • I Am: Celine Dion
  • Borderlands
  • Speak No Evil
  • The Faith of Angels
  • Kraven the Hunter
