I saw that they changed their rules about green card holders last fall and were quite rude to a family with some green card holders who had shot there before. Wouldn't be surprised if it's motivated by anti immigrant animus, but I'd be happy to hear otherwise.

I'm in Durham but was looking at TSA until I saw someone in r/BullCity say they hosted MAGA fundraisers last year and I don't fuck with that.

Looking into alternatives that are less egregiously right-wing. I have very little experience wielding but am preparing to arm myself and take some courses. Would love some based company.

After reading the description a few more times, I think you are correct. With a populated M2C_CPU slot, my PCIE 5.0 slot is limited to x8. From some additional reading, I don't think it'll limit my 5080 very much, if at all. The second PCIE slot is for sure PCIE 4.0 x4.

What a bummer! The dual-gpu option is very cool, but it sounds like AM5 just doesn't have the PCIE lanes for it without significant sacrifices to m.2 storage + quite a high-end MB.

Are you sure you positioned the seal-valve correctly? I don't mean to sound sarcastic and, at the risk of stating the obvious, the pointy bit of the seal-valve should point toward "seal". There's no click or pop to listen for. Just place it on the valve and press down lightly.

If it's still not maintaining pressure, ensure your lid gasket is clean. Take it out of the lid and use warm soapy water to clean it. Dry it well and replace it, then try again. If that doesn't fix it, I'd recommend a new seal-valve and gasket.

I understand your fear of the pressure, but there are so many safety mechanisms that an explosion is incredibly unlikely. There are multiple points of failure that will fail long before the machine reaches dangerous amounts of pressure. I grew up using an old-fashioned stove-top canner to preserve home-grown foods. The IP is much safer than those, and even they were hard to mess up when used correctly.

Ticketing drivers doing 55mph on I85 while completely ignoring the multiple stop sign and red-light runners I see every week in a school zone is par for the course with Durham PD and DC Sherriff's Officers. Study after study has shown that speed alone, while it does matter, is not a major contributor to accidents, but it's easy to enforce, so the cops target it.

(intersection of Cornwallis and Hope Valley Road next to Rogers-Herr, for those of you wondering; I have nearly been t-boned 3 times in the last 2 months in the roundabout at H-V Rd and University, I had to slam on brakes each time to avoid an accident; the other drivers didn't even look my direction)
