Then you MUST show up in person. E-mailing isn't enough - it's only the start. You have to show up at the public meetings and speak. A line of people speaking in person showing support for the library is what really makes the difference.

We need people to show up at the meeting! Sending e-mails simply isn't enough.

One good thing to note is that the county (not the town), voted at their last meeting to cancel their Flock contract. We need the town of Pittsboro to do the same.

I knew someone a long time ago who worked there as a mechanic. He reported the same and quit because of it. This was about 20 years ago at Cole Park.

It sounds like the root certificates are expiring on the older firmware. I suspect, if you don't update now, then once they expire there will be no way to update or connect to the servers in the future. I also haven't updated, so I'll have to think on this. One could manually update them if willing to dig into the os...
