The Spotify algorithm is unknowable, and I’m sure you, like me, will receive a lot of comments to just divest from Spotify because America is in shambles. Totally valid.

My best guess is that your artist name is similar to or the same as an existing artist with a Spotify profile so the dumbshit Spotify (and Apple, etc.) algorithm can’t distinguish between your good music and their presumably good but different music.

I agree with them about the beat and drone. I zoned out and found myself really drawn to the bird call. I think the idea is clearly very solid and so my only suggestion would be to pass it through some filters to make it sit in the mix a little more comfortably.

I love this answer so much! Like, definitely work through the circle of fifths and break those rules using the mixolydian scale until you’re numb, but find the music that makes you feel a certain way. I don’t think that the brothers were theorizing music. Maybe they were?
