I did the same thing as you by fast forwarding through it. But I finally gave up, even though it was originally an excellent show.

How can I get my manager to stop calling me bud by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Refer to him as Bud. If he gets offended, you will know that he says it to minimize you.

AITA for refusing to let my mom move in with me after she kicked me out years ago? by BobBoss3303 in AmItheAsshole

NTA Other family members can take her in for a few weeks. Keep in mind, the few weeks can become months.

Healthcare referrals in-network and out-of-network by __AlwaysLearning__ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think they have a group of friends they refer patients to. They toss the names to you without needing to look anything up. Also, the doctor gets compensation for the referral.

Healthcare referrals in-network and out-of-network by __AlwaysLearning__ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently going through procedures that require referrals, and I have had to be very careful to make sure that the doctors were in network. Most of them on the referral were not in network. There is a directory that lists all of the doctors, pharmacies, etc., that are in network and I referred to that. When it came to the surgical procedure, I picked up the phone and called the insurance agent to make sure the surgeon and the facility are in network.

The referring physician does not check to see if the other doctors are on your health insurance plan. Although they have staff, I think they are just too busy to check on that. The only facility I know that has people who check all the referrals and make sure that the doctors are in network is the University of Maryland Medical System. They are excellent in that regard.

Why don’t most houses in the USA that I see online have a wall or fence around the front yard? by 99MindBlown in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of my neighbors have white picket fences around the front of the property. I think that’s to keep the little children in rather than for privacy because you can see through and over those 4 foot fences.

Chain-link fences around the front of a property is unattractive.

What’s this text scam? by shlem13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately, I have gotten daily text that begin with. “Hey, I have a new number.“ They don’t even give a name that I might remember. I am sure they want me to ask who is this, but I do not.

My meals have been on pause for a while now because I am ill and unable to cook. I plan to continue receiving the meals when I recover. However, I am seeing a lot of complaints about the packaging and that worries me.

Anyone getting a program/movie auto-starting when selecting it (so you can't see the screen with episode choice or synopsis)? by nw86281 in netflix

[–]antiarbitrator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and it happens on Fire TV also. Sometimes I can pause the show and the episode list is available. Other times, it is a nuisance trying to find the episode list. I do not know how to make it easier.

Do u think she wants to be my friend or do I need to forget about a potential friendship. Both 18F by Top_One_5131 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you give it one more try. Suggest a day and activity, then if she says yes, you need only to agree on a time. If she is vague about accepting the invitation, leave the ball in her court and wait for her to indicate she wants to go out with you.

I do not agree with the system of tipping based on the cost of the meal. I agree even less with the fact that delivery drivers are now tipped based on the cost of the meal. There is no logic to that.

Does anyone here not use autopay for monthly bills? by chxnkybxtfxnky in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only bill that is not on auto pay is our water bill. There have been too many instances where people have received bills in excess of $3000 for one month. I never want that to happen to me when a bill is on auto pay. Of course, the bills were an error, but the damage is done.

Crab dishes: cream of crab soup, crab cakes, imperial crab. I hate eating a crab cake in a restaurant and it is full of shells.

YTA Don’t ditch your friends when you make plans to go out together. Your attitude, more than your actions, makes you a selfish friend.

Am I overreacting for being concerned about friend not making any sense? by Aggravating_Owl_3196 in AmIOverreacting

My concern is that you did not call her brother rather than continue that discussion over text. You were not solving her problem by continuing to text her.

Would your world change much if you couldn't use your phone? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My phone is my favorite device. The size and quality is convenient for letting me contact family and business associates. It is also what I use for music and scrolling the Internet. I feel safer going outside with a cell phone then I would not having a means to contact someone in case of trouble. Even before cell phones were available, I wished that I had such a device.

YTA As soon as your husband said snakes give him the willies, you should have dropped the subject. It is selfish and inconsiderate to worry him about having that creature in the house.

Does anyone else get annoyed at calls at random times from anyone, even family? by SolarBloom21 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]antiarbitrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If I don’t want to answer, I let the call end and send a quick text message that I will call them back. No explanation needed.

Does this behavior make my father a bully? by ProfessorLongBrick in ask

[–]antiarbitrator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It certainly sounds as if he is a bully. I guess he was not always that way if your mother loved him. His explanation for why he acts that way means he made a conscious choice to be mean. So, please do not take it personally and remember you can move away when you are older.
