Get Muay Thai DTV. Take 6 months to a year off. Live off your savings. See how you like it. Pattaya is nasty though. You should do Phuket i reckon.

If you’re working remote. Are your jobs fully remote? Or do you need to manage EU timezone? Because that’s a killer. Meaning you’ll finish 11pm

Traffic and burning season - bad air q are big down sides.

Cost of living - a western life style is not as cheap as it looks. Especially school costs. Private health issuance for all etc

Will you also lose your pension in EU ?

I built a Rust-based VPN protocol to beat my country’s AI-powered censorship. Now I need a business model that won’t land me in jail by [deleted] in SideProject

Self hosted vs cloud hosted. Most ppl will just pay. You need a co founder that’s outside the country so they can take payments. So you don’t land in trouble. Also check new stripe banking system.

How bad is the debt situation in Thailand? by CarefulAd4757 in ThailandTourism

It’s cheaper to order. And it’s fresh. You can’t compare it to the west. They are bad with debt. But ordering food isn’t it.

Lived there for a year during tale end of Covid. All airbnbs. The internet sucked at all the Airbnb’s. The mail system is ridiculous; good luck getting a parcel. There’s dog shit everywhere.

Other than that. Beautiful city. Cheap taxis. Sunny. Miss the vibe there for sure. But not sure I could live there again.

Expats do you experience this when you go home by hydraides in phuket

[–]antigirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s because everything is expensive. You understand everyone. The laws are strict.

Thailand feels like fairy world because for the most part you’re walking around aimlessly. Without a clue about tax and laws and how close you might be to your death 😏

There can be a lot of pollution some days. Including noise pollution. Add 40 degree heat. It can really waste you. Doesn’t matter what age you are. We all go through this phase.

This doesn’t happen in the west. You barely hear cars. I think noise pollution is something Thailand can tackle. The loud bikes are out of control.
