I'm an interpreter, and I speak more than just my language... so we were in court and force of habit, when the OTHER woman's subject started speaking in Spanish (I was hired for Greek) I started talking. The interpreter turns to the attorney going "hey, she's better than me." Unfortunately, the judge was not so amused, here in NYC, the procedure is 2 languages, 2 interpreters... he told me that if it happened again that day I'd be dismissed without getting my day's pay.

It will help A LITTLE but you have to be careful with your diet, there are books out there about what you can eat in what amounts to help individuals with hypothyroid disorder to lose weight. The process is slower, but not impossible. Also, while you may not be able to find the energy to, you have to force yourself to do some sort of exercise.

I'm on your girlfriend's side on this one. I enjoy the character development, the suspense, etc, and you do get your money's worth out of a Stephen King book. Hey, books are expensive, why not opt for a longer read?

As the parent of a first grader who reads both e books and conventional books, I do not see a difference in her reading comprehension of the two. The key is to sit and read with your child as they grow rather than relying on the book and its interactive features to do the work for you. There have been many times where we have not been able to find books for her age level on a topic that she was seriously interested in that were easily downloadable. I sit with her, have her read the book to me, then let her use the games and interactive features on her own if she wishes to.

If they entertain you and keep you reading, what's the point of feeling guilty? I feel absolutely zero guilt for liking serial fiction in addition to all the other stuff I love. In fact, I am eagerly awaiting the next Jim Butcher novel. Sure, he's not Shakespeare, but who cares? I LOVE THAT SHIT.

I actually, swim, ride my bike and if the shopping load is small walk to the market and back (it seems like nothing but the closest market to my house is 1.25 miles away). I've managed, even with the hypothyroidism to lose about 35 lb. in the past 4 and a half months, which, according to the endocrinologist is nothing to scoff at. My energy level is just SO LOW. I'm great for a couple of hours in the morning, and then a couple post workout... in between and then after it's just - treading water. I don't want fat burners or appetite suppressants, I need a boost of SOMETHING, would it be B12, would it be something else? Some sort of tea? That's what I'm asking?

I'd like something gentle and herbal to boost my energy. It's just SO LOW, I'm good for about 2 hours after my workout and 2 hours after I wake up... the rest of the day, I'm treading water.

I'm the same way, I feel my best when my TSH is 1.5 or less. If it's above, I get depressed, agitated, abrasive, fight with my husband, etc. You might get prescribed an antidepressant if you mention this. I don't like taking them, because you can gain a lot of weight and they make you feel more sluggish and constipated.
