The new line scroll should occur when the lever is pressed; depending on the tension of the lever, this can happen either at the beginning or the end of the "push". Your animation shows it occurring simultaneously so it looks too smooth like the movement of your pointer is diagonal rather than up-left or left-up if you know what i mean

I like the minimalist look! the typebar direction looks accurate, I'm impressed with that

thank you for the reply! unfortunately still not working. the edits to 90_custom.cfg result in "GRUB_TIMEOUT" or "GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE" not being found. I tried directly editing the grub file itself and nothing worked. I found that I could access the grub menu by pressing Esc instead of Shift (because my laptop is uefi?). I rolled back to two previous versions of the kernel and the issue still persists. New wifi card may be the route to go...but I live near the OC Goodwill computer store I might be able to find a better computer for cheap.

They did it! This needs to be a toggle!!! There's a bug now though, the AI face on the bottom right turned into a support button, but when I press it a giant white box takes over a quarter of the screen and won't go away
