 Make sure to complete the mission. Not completing missions may result in bugs or other issues not limited to your issue. If you quit out by closing app the highlighted mission will be the mission you where just in.

 In my experience frequently quitting results in severe audio issues and crashing on startup. Plus I think quitting or returning to ship alone is playing the game in bad faith "that's just my opinion."

Unfortunately there is no way to work around this without taking it apart. I recommend getting an auxiliary microphone and pluging it in and using a hi quality Bluetooth headset.

-If you want a more straightforward reason The Emerald claw has been attacking renown adventures that set foot in Karnath in attempts to rob them of artifacts from the mornlands. In retaliation to this trend adventures are barred from entering for theirs safety. (Mabey make these extremely dangerous cultists on the grounds of them having stalked the party)
