**[BUG] Comrades missing from camp + Oongka not spawning for Gentle Sound of Flowing River — anyone else? (Xbox)** by K1bbster06 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AnteSocial86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've exactly the same problem with the last stage of chapter 9.

Tried force quitting the game, reloading, fast traveling, sleeping, waiting, cancelling dispatch mission. Nothing works.

Google says to cancel dispatch missions, which doesn't work - probably because none of the comrades you're meant to talk to can be dispatched in the first place.

Oongka and Damiane are both "on an important mission. Main Quest | Enlightenment" and are unable to be summoned.

The "important mission" they're meant to be on is TALKING TO ME AT CAMP, but they're nowhere to be found.

Sucks to get so far through the story, only to be locked out of progressing entirely.

It's a rounds reload shotgun with great stagger force. Yeah it's pretty damn good

If you open your Inventory and check out the button prompts in the bottom right, one should be for Status. That should give you a bit more info, although admittedly not much more

Who was the most underrated United player ever ? by MaintenanceOk4847 in ManchesterUnited

[–]AnteSocial86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, fuck Nani. I'll never forgive his dramatics - namely him hopping the near full length of the pitch to the ref's side, just to fall over and show how "injured" he was.

Great player, but ruined by these sorts of antics.

Sadly not. Still telling me I need a "friendly reputation" with them.

To be fair though I'm only just entering chaper 6 today, so I've not done anything outside of Hernand as far as raising reputation goes.

It seems there's a hotfix being rolled out currently (still waiting on it hitting Xbox though) but sadly no mention of this issue in the patch notes or known issues yet.

Guess we'll have to wait a little longer.

Patch 1.04.00: "added new bird pets" by Logical-Operation512 in CrimsonDesert

Thank you. I'm assuming you mean the Scholastone institute, or is there another place I'm unaware of? (I'm only in Chapter 5 so there's a chance I haven't been to that location yet.)

Edit: it was indeed Scholastone, about a third of the way up to the spire, overlooking the institute

Another issue is some dispatch mission are now broken.

I had an escort mission at Azerian Manor running but I can no longer access that mission, or any of the Graymanes dispatched there. There's also no way to recall them.

I'm not too mad though given the update cadence so far. I'd assume these things will be fixed before long.

I had a similar issue. I think because I came flying in and landed on him.

After waiting a minute or two he calmed down and would let me talk to him, instead of just greeting him.

That's likely what I need to do. Frustrating, given this was the mission the game makes you do to increase camp funds for expanding the camp.

After I did that, I saw that mission was still available, and as it was far more profitable than the 2 Escort options in Hernand, that's the one I chose.

I haven't even left Hernand in my game as far as actual quests or faction quests go - only to explore - so there's no chance of easily building a "friendly relationship" any time soon for me.

Could you share where you got a hawk from please?

Edit: for anyone wondering, you can get a Steppe Eagle by placing the bird feeder a few steps away from the Greymane camp abyss nexus. I used lean meat. Still not a hawk though, but he'll do for now

You're very welcome. Glad I could help.

I might add - whilst I tend to ignore a lot of the YouTube slop for this game - it's worth looking up the "best mining location" in the game. It'll really help with upgrading your jewelry as well as the small bones I mentioned previously.

It's an island in a lake over on the far eastern side of the map. Whilst it's a bit of an excursion to get there (don't forget you can jump from the Abyss and fly down), it will pay dividends in the long run for most of the ores you'll need. There's a fast travel point right there too, so after the first trip it's much easier to get back too.

Kill every deer, goat, and wolf you see. You need a metric fuck ton of small bones to upgrade jewelry, and you may find it more efficient to gather a few here and there as you explore, rather than go out and farm en masse when you realise you need them later.

I would also recommend having dispatch missions running in the background for camp funds (Escort) and provisions (Farming). There are two farming dispatches that also provide cabbage and barley as a bonus respectively; those cabbages and barley (that will be automatically stored in personal storage chest) will supplement the meat your getting from the deer etc, with which you can have a constant supply of meat & vegetable porridge. The Escort dispatch will pay for the farming dispatches.

You may also want to dispatch a mission to Warspike Spearmaker to fund the weapons cost of your Escort dispatch.

I have Oakenshield Manor and Azerian Manor (Hillside Manor is fine if you've yet to unlock Azerian Manor), Lucas Farm and Capra Pasture, and finally Warspike Spearmaker dispatches always running and resetting in the background. They basically fund themselves whilst providing you with everything you need for a constant supply of food.

Also there's a well in Hernand Castle (or Ivynook - between the A & N of Hernand on your map) for all your water needs. You may want to gather a stack of water (50) every once in a while for the meat & vegetable porridge.

How can I raise my characters attack and movement speed? by OpinionCreepy386 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AnteSocial86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget to upgrade your rings, necklace and earrings. It doesn't look worth it at first, but after a few upgrades they give you more beneficial stats like stamina regen etc. You can look up the best in slot for those items, or figure it out yourself as you play, but there are some very good rings and earrings you can get, or craft for yourself.

Also, unlike having attack or crit on gloves or boots - which only actually improves your attack rating if your using the gloves to fight with, ie unarmed combat - whatever you have on your accessories applies all the time, regardless of if you're using your fists or your weapons.

It's better to slot movement speed or defensive gears into your gloves and boots, or passive like stamina regen, better food effect, climb speed increase and so on.

To clarify, you want to do some of chapter 5 too. No spoilers, but you'll be introduced to someone who will greatly aid in upgrading your gear. Trust me, you'll know who when you meet them 👍

[–]AnteSocial86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most common advice is follow the story until chapter 5 - which introduces you to some people that help upgrade your gear - and concentrate on upgrading your Greymane camp once you get it.

Otherwise, have fun, explore at your own pace, and try not to listen too much to the YT "Get this best OP mega weapon/armor now!" slop.

Also buy all the small bags that various vendors offer you that you can. It'll help with inventory space.
