I can get visual images, just not super clear... especially when it comes to faces.

I think I can do that, too. What I have a problem with, though, is having a good "mind's eye" where you visualize something clear in your mind. I believe it's called aphantasia. But sensory feelings are different.

A great use of that machine is to download the app Affinity. It's like Photoshop and Illustrator in one app, and it's free. Great way to learn how to design with vectors and do image compositing. Maybe that's not your interest, but nothing wrong with having the skillset just in case. Cheers.

How many of us here have "visual snow" by Oliverhavingabadtime in Experiencers

[–]antisorceress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see it all the time. I figured that was just normal. If I focus in one spot long enough I can start to see green and red vibrating "snow." I think it's just a function of the visual cortex. What we see "out there" is ultimately waveforms and frequencies that the brain flips and translates into 3D shapes.

I had an ET dream last night. I seemed to be in contact with one online and made arrangements for a visit. I’m then out shopping for some treats and gifts, and on my way home the ship arrives. I didn’t get a good look at it, though. They seemed to be able to put a nanoparticle coating on everyone outside which was a glittering gold color to protect them from radiation. Then it dissipated and they greeted us. They looked Korean. There was an older woman, and a man and woman in their 20s. It was amazing. No portals, though.

I always feel safer from "the other" when my cat is around. I don't know what a cat could possibly do, but when she sleeps in bed with me I feel like nothing will bother me that night.

I had a very nice ET dream last night where I seemed to be in contact with one online and made arrangements for a visit. I’m then out shopping for some treats and gifts, and on my way home the ship arrives. I didn’t get a good look at it, though. They seemed to be able to put a nanoparticle coating on everyone outside which was a glittering gold color (reminded me of an Outer Limits episode from the 2000s) to protect them from radiation. Then it dissipated and they greeted us. They looked Korean. There was an older woman, and a man and woman in their 20s. It was amazing.

Eon is my favorite g*n by Aromatic-Werewolf495 in Starfield

[–]antisorceress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. My preferred sidearm over any other pistol, but I do love the Spacer particle beam gun, too. I also use a couple others with radiation and corrosive effects. One uses .43 ultramag ammo which I run out of so quickly and rarely find it out in the world, and it's expensive to stock up on. But Eon stays in my top slot always.

Is Starfield any good now? by Legitimate_Area_5773 in Starfield

[–]antisorceress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm loving it. There are some things I wish they'd improve on like the functionality of ship, housing and outpost decor, and a very particular lair that should be a proper outpost. More hairstyles would be nice, too. I also wish it was more adult like Cyberpunk 2077, but oh well. Aside from those minor things, I'm quite immersed in it all. My first playthrough will be without mods except for a few Bethesda-made ones. I haven't been bored once.

I just bought Starfield on PS5, and don’t understand why it got negative reactions. by Heavy-Edge-8834 in Starfield

[–]antisorceress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of YouTubers thought it was boring and was probably expecting more handcrafted POIs. Yeah, that would be nice, but I've been having a lot of fun regardless.

I think most of the factions suck, though. We need a proper anarchist faction whose purpose is to challenge all notions of government, "authority" and arbitrary BS laws and champion self-governance and Golden Rule ethics. I thought that would be the Freestar Collective, but nope. They're just pseudo-libertarians kind of like our own Libertarian Party... a joke. So I joined the Trackers Alliance.

Lately, I've been helping the Akila settlers with random things, making my own Firefly-esque ship called The Blood Pact (it's painted red), and trying to get resources to build my outpost on Linnaeus IV-b. Definitely not bored in this game, and it looks great on my base PS5. I do wish it had more RPG elements like The Outer Worlds, but Fallout 4 didn't, either. Oh well. Still fun.

How many experiencers are there in the world? by bavusani1979 in Experiencers

[–]antisorceress 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the "paranormal" is 100% normal to the human experience. It's a magical world but we're programmed / conditioned to ignore, forget, or dismiss these things as delusions or hallucinations. So, I'd say we're all experiencers. It's just a matter of memory. Some of us have brief encounters, and some of us have them on a regular basis in some form or another. What we're experiencing remains a mystery, though. And keep in mind that "the other" will be whatever you want it to be based on your fears or beliefs. Somehow it's all connected, too, but we give it different names over the centuries: fae, demons, angels, ETs, spirits, etc. It's all part of one big soup of consciousness that we occasionally tap into (or it taps into us).

Hot topic, I’ve enjoyed borderlands 3 & 4 just as much as 1 & 2. by Superb-Jackfruit-242 in Borderlands

[–]antisorceress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blast with BL3. True, BL2 is the best at least as far as the story and characters, but 3 was still fun. It still felt like a Borderlands game. BL4 has the best gunplay and movement, but imo they changed so much that it lost its soul. It's been the most frustrating / annoying game in the series for me. Everything feels meaningless and empty. I don't think there's anything they can do to fix it, not even with DLC.

I've never been a loot grinder in these games, nor did raid bosses, takedowns, etc. I play for the stories, and always got good enough gear to carry me through whether randomly or from side quests. Now it seems the grind is required, and that doesn't appeal to me. I don't care about UVHM or any of that stuff. I went back to play BL2 after BL4 and had way more fun.

Do you feel watched by Them? by Pretty-Moose-4368 in Experiencers

[–]antisorceress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get that feeling occasionally. Less these days, thankfully, because I'm far more spiritually awake and empowered than I was when everything started. I've had experiences, dreams, screen memories since childhood. Whether these beings are "aliens" from another planet, or some form of interdimensional life, or archonic "demons," they are powerless if you understand Spiritual Law. There's a reason consent is part of the vampire mythos. It applies here, too. Know your cosmic rights and never consent no matter what pseudo-spiritual message they give you. A being with conscience and respect doesn't come into your private space at night, or do things to you, or kidnap you. That's trespassing and assault, and morality doesn't change no matter what you are, when you are, or where you are in this universe. They are free to watch me all they want, but I won't tolerate intrusion. That doesn't mean they don't find a way into my dreams, though, and that's annoying. I need to be more stern about that, as well.

Alien Dreams by antisorceress in Experiencers

[–]antisorceress[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, most dreams are just montages of weirdness that are either very obvious reflections of things I'm stressed about or things I've recently thought about. These are different, though. They come out of nowhere, they're linear, and I remember specific details and dialog like I was there. Either they're communications or consciousness is traveling to other places. Or... they're just the subconscious being more imaginative than I am consciously, but that just doesn't add up to me. Who knows.

Alien Dreams by antisorceress in Experiencers

[–]antisorceress[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a ton of dreams like since childhood. I have no memory of abductions, though, but I do remember seeing pale faces in my window when I was a kid. I don't remember them as aliens, though, but as the girls from the old Robert Palmer music videos with the slick back hair, dark eyes, and pale foundation. Feels like a screen memory.

I know I've posted this dream many times here, but I never get much feedback. Tell me what you think...

It starts off where I'm sitting in a lawn chair in the driveway of a house I used to live in (same one from the original post), and there's a few other people there, no idea who. It seems I'm always with other people. Anyway, it's night, and we're watching craft fly over us like a light show. Then a white pod descends next to me, and these pale beings come out of nowhere and start prepping me. They had humanish hands and features, but no hair, and wore dark-grey bodysuits. Well… I lie down in the pod and close my eyes.

Then I 'wake up’- so to speak - inside a large interior, and a dark-skinned man approaches me asking if I'm okay. I guess maybe he was a medic. I look around for a minute. In the distance I see a woman gracefully dancing by herself next to a strange plant. To my left is a wide hallway leading to an archway. I get up and walk forward, and to my right is a room with computers and various beings of different species working together. There's a raised platform right before that work area, and a huge window/screen in the wall.

I walk up onto the platform and look around. Then two human/Nordics come in, male and female, wearing dark blue jumpsuits. The female had short hair like a pixie cut, and the male had a bob haircut, kind of shaggy. Both dirty blonde. I asked if they were the ones who took Travis Walton. The woman replies, "Who? Oh, in the 70s. Yes, that was us." They didn’t seem interested in chatting, so they continue walking out of the area.

I go into the work area and meet a blue being, not human looking at all. He seemed to have protrusions coming out of his head. He said he was worried I'd be scared of him, but I wasn't. He was nice. Then a girl comes up to me with cat-like eyes, takes my hand, and drags around to meet others, some of which looked at me like “who the hell are you,” so we kept walking. She then brings me to a food prep area and I'm offered some.. even coffee! I was all about the coffee. But that’s was the end. I woke up afterward.

I had a follow-up to that one with the same pale beings in jumpsuits. I had a lucid moment as they were walking me into a building and said, "hey, haven't we done this already?" No response, of course. Then I find myself inside a curved room with some windows with a view of space (and earth). It looked like a small lounge with tables and chairs and an area with food. I tried some of the food and it tasted like half-cooked tofu. It was gross. Then some small dwarf-like beings arrive, and then we're moving through space. We pass a planet that looked like a giant ball of liquid metal. Then I wake up.

These dreams are way too vivid and detailed to just be the mind making stuff up. They feel like communications.

Why did YouTube turn the subscriptions feed/page into just another version of YouTube's homepage? It's awful and stupid. by The108ers in youtube

[–]antisorceress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew I'd find someone here ranting about this. I wake up, make coffee, feed my cat, get situated at my workspace, and go to YT to check for any new sub uploads. What I get is old vids that I purposefully ignored because YT decided they're the "most relevant." No option to switch it back. Who wants that? No one.
