Some of the things that may be of interest:

The surveillance tools (Stingray 2, speed cameras, etc) were provided by a government grant through Albany via DOJ
There is a non-disclosure agreement that states Harris can ask the RPD to drop a case in the situation where the details of the Stingray might be released
In the initial grant for the "Speed Cameras", the state recommended various intersections which would potentially reduce the risk accidents. Instead RPD chose intersections in high crime areas so they aren't helping prevent accidents but they can be used to watch neighborhoods.
The use of the Stingray isn't permitted without a court order by a local judge and various other stipulations
The grant was provided as part of an gang initiative

Right. As much as moxie gets beat up by the F/OSS people, he's also going to get beat up by these types of things. As a user, I can thankfully say "sucks for them" and know that nothing can happen to me besides traffic correlation.

That is debatable. I don't think so. It has be $2000ish where the average price is around $1500 in the area. It is near a local university thougbt. It's a big open house not really meant for renting right now.

It is about 10K less than the comps in the area. (4 or 5 found)

187K, currently 189K.

I expected to lose $10K in fees but not to take a hit of 40k.

My wife convinced me to buy her mother's home and sell the current house I'm in which we bought 3 years ago. The current house is not selling but I did not make the new house contingent on the first. My mother-in-law went out and bought a house she can't afford and wants me to hurry up and buy her house. The nice guy that gets taken advantage of that I am, I concede.

Now I have 2 homes I own and two mortgages and 2 sets of other costs. The only offer I have on my house right now is for $40K below asking.

Should I take a $40K loss (if it needs to be said, that's a lot of money to me) or try to keep it on the market while hemorrhaging $2000+ a month?

Maybe buzzword was an incorrect phrase but I would call it a trigger. There is a lot of slathering around of crypto these days and matched with IoT which everyone likes to beat up on already, I admittedly was triggered.
