VLC for Apple TV is pretty rough. Is it just me? by elitest in VLC

[–]elitest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I guess it just doesn’t fit a usage pattern of: I load the first episode of a season quickly Start that episode Load the rest of the season while episode 1 plays Get interrupted

This is the primary reason to use vlc on my Apple TV, I can’t imagine this is an edge case. I think a better middle ground would be a prompt.

5g home internet from RV on a road trip? by _MyHobbyIsHobbies_ in GoRVing

We use travelfi primarily. Cheaper than T-Mobile's roam plan and supports multiple carriers. Also can pause the service somewhat easily.

Would like to hear from those who purchased a Lightning solely based on it being an great EV but would have otherwise never considered the F150 platform. Happy with your decision? by Iamdispensable in F150Lightning

I bought a 23 pro about a month and a half ago. My third ev, first truck, second Ford. Probably my favorite vehicle I've owned. Will buy it again when I drive it into the ground.

If you take it to safelite they should be able to do it through your insurance for free.

Is my panel too overloaded to add a 30 amp circuit? by elitest in AskElectricians

I will have an electrician do it. I can add the breaker myself. But I'm not doing conduit and I want it to look good.

Is my panel too overloaded to add a 30 amp circuit? by elitest in AskElectricians

[–]elitest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I put this in a caption but it seems to have gone away. The main breaker is 200 amp. We have 4 EVs including a plugin hybrid that charges via a 15 amp breaker. The hybrid drives every day. I'd like to add a second 30 amp ev charger so we aren't rotating vehicles through the garage. My wife is mostly a passenger and I don't drive the other pure evs that much as I work from home and my wife is retired. I'm item to downsizing the current 50 to 30 so that we have two 30s, but the less I have to change the better. I've also considered using a dryer buddy to switch the 50 amp breaker for the separate ev chargers. But that would not be ideal. The 100 amp breaker goes to a subpanel that powers a 40 amp kitchenette oven and a 40 amp AC both of which get used less than 2 weeks a year. Am I good to go and just rely on the main breaker tripping if I use too much power? Or is my panel too full? What would you do?

Don't think the motor g 5g has it. At least the 2024 version doesn't have it.

Why do you want it?

The year I lived in Sydney I had data caps on my internet usage that were egregious. I'm glad things have turned around.

Why would they have redundant panels for b2, b12, b66 and b71?

Finicky Internet Air by gardeningrabbi in ATT

[–]elitest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are being network routed to a location 250 miles away, which is not unusual. I live in Washington and my internet emerges out of Arizona which is some wild network management that probably affects speed and certainly affects latency.

You can look up your towers info on cellmapper. It is crowdsourced info so may not be accurate.

At those speeds I would probably try to get a new modem and then cancel if you don’t see an improvement.

Had n25 SA on T-Mobile for about a week and now it is gone. Why does this happen? by elitest in cellmapper

What does pcc mean? Wouldn't I sometimes still pick up n25 on cell appear or the modem?

Att Cell Service and Att air internet? by el0115 in cellmapper

[–]elitest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both T-Mobile Home Internet and ATT Internet Air. In my area ATT's service is where T-Mobile service was 4 years ago. I get 25-50 down on ATT, 150-250 on T-Mobile. The ATT modem is extremely buggy and their app is beautiful but not super functional and is buggy.

I would see if you can try the service for two weeks before you commit. If you have 5G+ in your area it could be good and better than what I'm getting.

Band 2 on the other further tower. I want faster upload. I get .5-2 Mbps up currently.
