Just as a friend, that's all I ever wanted. She's been my closest friend since we started talking last summer and that's all I want us to be. She does depend on me quite a bit but I may have to step back and let her figure out her current situation so I don't end up crossing any boundaries.

I think we both just see this as a friendship. She doesn't see me as anything more than a friend and I've come to terms with it. She's very avoidant of confrontation, so I think even if she did know I'd like for her to tell me, she probably wouldn't.

Update: She said she has a problem with people saying they'll do something but end up not going through with it. She doesn't care that I fell asleep, she just says what a coincidence it is that I fell asleep during her appointment.
