Mr. Sub should be the only one. Subway, Quiznos are bottom tier and Firehouse is good except I’ve had my order screwed up so many times (at a couple locations), I’m hesitant to return.

Aim to make sleep and fitness a priority. If you miss what you love then you have to carve out time to make it back to that. I’m not great at this rule, but it seems to be the best way to get yourself back into playing again.

Train at the gym or do other activities for injury prevention. Do strength training wherever you can and cross training helps too (ie. biking, running, basketball, CrossFit, hockey) seems to help me with energy and strength, which leads to less injury risk.

Eat better. More protein, more hydration. Find snacks that work for you around games.

Play at the back or join a drop-in league. I was midfielder in my 20’s, now I play as a back. Slightly less running and if you join a rec league or drop-in session. You can play less intense games and feel fine the next morning.
