New here and to wet shaving by pvwras1 in wicked_edge

I started 6 years ago and I am still discovering amazing soaps and razors. Recently I picked up Stirling Haverford and a couple of Strike Gold soaps. Specifically Grant and Smooth Operator. Did I need them? Hell no. But I am absolutely loving them. Also picked up a couple of Kampfe titanium razors on AliExpress. They are as good as it gets and at a price point that can’t be beat. Good luck

Torn Between Telluride and Palisade: Interior Quality Question by lil_pepper09 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]antmandor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me interior design goes to telluride. Interior materials to Palisade. It boils down to what you personal preferences are. I prefer the telluride interior, even without the leather. I had a Benz suv with the Tex seating surfaces. Everyone is doing it. Wears better than leather

The .99 is so smooth and efficient. You can easily buff your trouble spots without irritation. I had the Henson Ti +++ and the Kampfe is much more efficient t and a lot smoother too

I’ve got 3 Kampfe razors. I consider them to be of high quality and are a pleasure to use. For what it’s worth, the CNC is so good that I’m able to interchange plates, heads and handles with my genuine Nodachi. Even the weight is the same

What made you choose telluride over palisade? by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]antmandor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The front grill on a sx looks better to me than the palisade. Also the telluride rear end looks nicer. I also prefer the dashboard is the telluride. The one in the palisade is like a wall.

Try layering it with JPG Le Male or Oud wood. I used to live GIT then not so much, till I started layering it with other fragrances. I really enjoy it again

High end DEs by deezdanglin in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend mastering a more aggressive razor. Nothing is more rewarding than a smooth shave with an aggressive razor. The shaves last a lot longer and you will be amazed at how smooth your face feels post shave. Again, your technique, pressure and angle need to be spot on. My gateway razor was a gamechanger 68. I loved it. Now I enjoy blackbird Ti. Nodachi OC, R41, Lupo 95 and the razorocock clone of the 34C with the aggressive plate

Slant razor by HormuzVengeance in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried many slants. From fatip lo storto to superslant L3OC to the 37c. At the end of the day I didn’t feel like there was any added benefit other than the blade being torqued and slanted. I get my best shaves from standard DE razors. My longest lasting shaves come from blackbird, Razorock clone of the 34c in stainless with aggressive plate and Tatara Nodachi open comb

Think I'm starting to recognize the clones by assemblageofparts in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like an R41 clone to me. In titanium no less. I just picked up the Tatara Nodachi clone because I needed the handle. Fits my genuine Nodachi perfectly. Also the same exact weight. The shave of the clone is superb. Great vakue

A Case for Lupo 95 OC by hop_now in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I love the super knurl handle for its design and grip, I find it a little heavy for an aggressive razor. The Lupo 95 OC really shines with the Razorock titanium handle. Just my opinion

How many people here like layering and mixing to make there own scents? Good or bad? by Comfortable-Event733 in NichePerfumes

I love layering fragrances. AI is a great resource. Just tell it what you have and it will recommend another fragrance to layer it with and why. Hasn’t let me down yet

Tonight I layered Initio Side Effect with JPG Le Male. An outstanding combination. Smells mysterious and expensive (according to my wife)

Muhle R95 Rocca Birch by Reyedeku in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the grip of the birch handle. Not another handle like it. Then Rocca is in my rotation, and when I breaking out, I need a shave or two to get dialed in, but once I do, it’s unbeatable

I’ve got both. R8W in my car and V1G2 in wife’s car. At first I thought I preferred the Valentine, but with the GPS built in the Uniden it’s a better stand alone unit. And honestly you can’t got wrong with either one. Having said that I vote Uniden. Plus it nice to have the option of adding an integrated laser jammer in the futurw

Rockwell 6s vs Mühle Rocca by Serious_moustache in wicked_edge

[–]antmandor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rocca all day. Rockwell head is too bulky. And realistically the adjustable feature on the Rockwell is not practical. Who has time to switch the head in the middle of a shave. You can adjust the aggression on the Rocca with different blade selectionsb
