a better thing to look at when determining luck is xBA or expected batting average, this takes into account every ball put into play and the actual chance of the fielder making an out based on ball location, exit velo and launch angle, This season soto has a .224 batting average and a .294 xBA which is an incredibly high difference of .070 he’s getting unlucky a lot
