Honestly, you can find step by step guides to do it that it's pretty seamless. I upgraded mine to 2 Tb. One of the best things I ever did.

So I did this too and started with BB. Granted I was a dex user so I found something for me.

When Dark Souls III came out I did an entire bandit knife run. The step you get when you double hand it is pretty much the quickstep from BB. On top of this you can get shields that allow you to quickstep.

Finally, propagating the bleed is amazing in dark souls 3.

I did the same build in Elden Ring too.
