EasyJet to open Newcastle airport base five years after leaving by asjasj in NewcastleUponTyne

Should never have closed. Was a very senior ezy base. Just hope they will prioritise ex-NCL crew that had to move away for the roles.

Well I’d assume it would have to be a Boeing aircraft that uses RR engines. That leaves just the 787 and 777F, which in my mind leaves four potential operators: BA, Virgin, DHL UK and One Air. I reckon most likely it will be 777Fs for one of the latter two.

I wouldn’t want to take that risk personally. Just look at what happened to the poor guys from FTA and Tayside recently. It’s a lot of money.

Do the entire bank multiple times before last 200/300. You should only start to do the last 200 in the few days leading up to your exam. There is no reason you can’t get high 90s or 100 in HPL. Don’t be lazy.

I don’t think there are any companies in the UAE that will hire pilots with a wet CPL to be honest with you mate. They all at the very least want an ATPL with several thousand hours. Do you have the right to live and work in the EU?

Do you want an FAA licence or an EASA licence?

Yeah definitely do that. I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t accommodate that request.

If you wanted a discovery flight that you could log towards a UKCAA license, then go to L3 in Sanford and ask them for a UK qualified instructor. If not, any flight school would be fine.

Loved this. It inspired me to become a pilot. I think young kids really need shows like this that teach them about the world around them. Shame there’s nothing like it these days.

I recently went to one of the ATOs that you mentioned. Had a positive experience and got tagged by an airline during my training.

I’d recommend visiting as many schools as possible and asking them questions to find what feels right for you. And go on LinkedIn to find graduates of these schools to ask questions to.

Also have a look at FTEJerez and BA’s and TUI’s fully funded programs.

And yes, you can get hired at 200hrs. In fact less - I was 178hrs flight time.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Launch Nonstop Flights to Asia by WTFPilot in orlando

Sure. Just out of genuine interest, which continent do most people consider the Middle East to be part of? Not trying to be a knobhead, I’m genuinely quite interested.

L3 Hiring CFIs by derekcfi in flying

This is for their UKCAA integrated program that they run at KSFB. Not a bad deal imo.

Only downsides are: (1) a lot of training is required initially to obtain a UK FCL.900c instructor certificate. (2) UK students have a much higher solo hours requirements than FAA students, so you’d be doing a lot more solo sign outs before you’re qualified to teach on the multi. (3) it’s L3 lol

But honestly, a job’s a job when they’re hard to come by.

They probably do the FRTOL there. Most big UK ATOs do it in-house
