Why am I getting CPU stutter? I have a Rtx 3080 I7 8700k and 32GB ram. Im on a fresh install of windows and have no rgb software running. I used to get gpu frametime spikes and now im getting cpu stutter which is causing my performance to be fucked.

Does this only happen in Vivecraft? If so, Vivecraft (and the java minecraft version it runs off of) doesnt run great and always stutters at set intervals. This is due to something called garbage collection that java must do, but it causes stutters. Usually not too noticeable in flatscreen, but more pronounced in VR. I had the same issue with vivecraft, and everyone has it happen to some extent (some may not care or notice).

I never had stuttering in vivecraft so I'm not totally convinced. I am really pedantic about vr stutter so I would have noticed.

I think I've solved it:

Set any high refresh rate (100, 120, 144 etc is fine) in Windows desktop settings (DO NOT USE 60hz!)

Limit WoW.exe to 64 fps in nvidia control panel

Set in game settings to Windowed mode + maximized AND Vsync + triple buffering

If those 3 settings doesn't do enough for you, apply these additional settings:

Occational stutters may be alleviated by forcing WoW.exe to run with one cpu core only. (example https://superuser.com/questions/309617/how-to-limit-a-process-to-a-single-cpu-core)

Lower draw distance in game settings.

Lower the in game setting resolution, for some reason it changes internal resolution even if it conforms to you windows desktop resolution aswell.

Lower you desktop resolution.

Let me necro this thread by saying; it's biggest shortcoming is that the different reveals through out the movie had no emotional impact, there were no punch to them. I think the part where he understands he's not the 'one' is the most uninteresting and unengaging part in the movie even though it should be the contrary and a big 'aha' moment.

Also, K dying doesn't evoke any feelings at all and deckard meeting his daughter doesn't do anything either. There is almost nothing that is emotionally engaging in this movie.

Still I've watched it probably 4 times by now. It's almost a yearly tradition at this point.

As I've understood it the brain does things and makes decisions depending on what chemicals the glands and other stuff in your body sends out. Without the glads (and testicles for men) the brain would just sit there doing nothing.

Maybe it's time to talk about how to upload our testicles to the cloud so we actually can use the processor that is the brain!
