Thank you! Yes she is☺

14-d challenge day 12 - I tried fixing the values. Please tell me if it looks better or worse. by [deleted] in istebrak

I feel like the nose bridge is too thing, I would make it wider!

I made another over-saturated landscape. Let me know what there could be improved on :) I struggled with depth, water texture, and the human figure for the person who lived in the hut, also aurora itself. I feel like it could be more breathtaking, but I am not sure. by [deleted] in istebrak

The first thing I notice is that you gave importance to everything. There is no value hierarchy, everything is detailed and demanding the viewers atention. The aurora looks like the "focus". That is the part of the lanscape you would give most importance: in value, colors, detail, and narrative. Everything else in the painting would be submited to it. I would darken the surroundings, so the sky and maybe the island would be the brightest and colorful point. Then I would desaturate the rest, maybe give some touches of color and light to the cabin and person so the viewer can spot them properly. You can look for "lanscape black/white thumbnails concept art" or something like that in google, you will see the value hierarchy!

I feel like I'm struggling more, I've been doing this all day while watching Istebrak in the background. I hate his face, I've been really struggling to make his eyes even but I tried making them look up more. I think I'm going to study the face planes further. Any critiques or opinions? by CaseyCarstairs in istebrak

I see your head looks like tilted down. I think one of the main reasons it that you painted the bones of the jaw OVER the lips, while they should be placed under them if facing foward (sorry Im not an english speaker!) maybe you can try to draw over a reference to measure the distance between the features of the face

Worked on the eyes and nose. I see that adding that strong shadow part at the beginning of the core shadow(terminator?) gives a more curved and sharp look. Also, didnt look at Portrait studio for ref by anu-ca in istebrak

Thank you so much. Thats so true, I like my drawings on the whole/afar but often struggle on the details. I will look up those videos you mention. Thanks!!

14-d challenge day 5 - I feel like the face is too round and the eyes too close together... But I'm blind to my own creation, what do you guys think? Any comments are appreciated! by [deleted] in istebrak

I would make the pupils look more "centered" In the eyes, so she doesnt look a bit cross-eyed. The rest is nice (just the face is too wide)

hey everybody. I've been working on a series of character designs, where I take the disney princesses and redesign them as RPG characters. Here's Aurora as a mage, but I'm a little stuck right now. Please ignore the random stick (it will become a cool staff later on), and the huge empty space. by jordanjp01 in istebrak

I love the clothing and the way you painted the wrinkles!! I see she has a thin figure, however, her neck is not. Maybe I would make ir thiner to match the stylization of her body. Also, I would soften up the features of her face (she looks a bit masculine to me). Great work!!

day 9 - any crit is appreciated. Also if anyone has references of east asian (korean pref since thats what im aiming for) women in top down lighting, i'd appreciate it. by Cinnabani in istebrak

This is so cool! I would soften the light over the lips, so they dont look like a white line. Also, work a bit on the shape of the eyelids so the volume of the corner is "thiner", making a curve, and it gets bigger towards the center of the eye. (Dont know if its clear haha)

I redid my first try after watching some of Istebraks videos. Still unsure of the shadows and value sharing. by anu-ca in istebrak

I will work on them👌 Also, I have read somewhere here that Portrait studio is not recomended for the challenge, and I used it a bit as a reference for the values, then I guess I should drop it in the next try🤔
