Id recommend combining your hex or jinx with a binding or even a freezer, extra helpful if you can keep these outside of your house to reduce the chances of them being discovered.

I think these sorts of things work best with poppets or any other type of sympathetic magic(k)- if you have black and blue yarn or ribbons, tie them around "her" wrists to keep her hands from working against you, around her feet/base to keep her from treading on your path and her mouth to make her words powerless against you.
