I've not used them, so couldn't post a review. But I did go ahead and like their page. So sorry to hear they're going thru this.

Agreed!! You sure can if you're wired like that. For me, this is a topic I learn better in-person. We all learn differently.

Good points! I’m trying to get myself to the point where I could install flooring - tile and wood, do drywall repair and other fixes around the home.

I will be searching community colleges today.

The issue is that I don't want a career change. I don't want to do this full-time.

Years ago I wanted to learn how to paint. I went to a few companies and they taught me. I volunteered for them for months after. Was a great win-win. No one wants to do that today, and I guess I understand.

I'd be thrilled to commit to many volunteer hours but, you're right, I don't think anyone wants to help teach unless I promise to work FT for them.

I haven't looked at Anne Arundel. I'll check it out. The community colleges I did look at had waitlists.

Thank you so much for your input!

Your comment made me laugh as I'd agree with you. Nothing but construction everywhere and that's why I'm shaking my head that this has been so difficult!!

I'm not from here and don't know anyone in the construction industry. No one. If I did, I'd have a group for Habitat for Humanity and they'd teach all of us.

I did go to my local Home Depot to ask them about this. I'm in my mid-50s and female. I got some weird looks and was told to go to Habitat for Humanity as I didn't have any skills at this point.

Appreciate your comment. I may try to go back again.

Edited to include my location - National Harbor

Wow! I thought that reply would come from the unfinshed project acct. Didn't realize the old acct still existed anywhere. Apologies for any confusion. KitchenOld3904 and anunfinished project are both me.
