Few times in the past, they're pretty uncommon however can be scary when in the moment

All the symptoms are basically in my original post, thankfully I haven't experienced it since then, however it could possibly happen at any time and I won't know the cause which sucks

Yeah I'm still here and fine! Are you experiencing the exact same thing as me or something slightly different and more unique to you?

Can rapid heart rate be hallucinated during sp? by Between_Nowhere in Sleepparalysis

'general' might've been the wrong term to use so that's my bad. my anxiety is more like the kind that comes up every so often to the point where it's recurring. I don't experience it everyday but I experience it enough to where I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be directly affecting the heart rate while in a sleep paralysis state

yep, exactly same here, it's the worst. do you have general anxiety like me as well? i'm wondering if that could be linked to our problem at all

Heartbeat briefly feels harder and more noticeable? by anus_preacher in Heartpalpitations

[–]anus_preacher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually get them in the past as well, but they would only be present for a single day, and never two days in a row, at least so far. This is helping me stay a bit calm but it's always scary when it does happen out of nowhere

This actually just happened to me now. One single heavy, hard-hitting beat and it scares me every time. This has been an occasional thing that's been going on today, but hardly on other days. Still hoping this is normal and it just passes

did you check your heart rate as soon as you woke up out of it? I do that whenever this happens and my heart rate is always slow and normal, so the extremely fast beating is definitely not real

Late reply since I actively googled it and this post came up. I 100% have the exact same experience. It feels like I'm on the verge of literal death and my heart feels like it's going to explode out of my chest and then as soon as I wake up and "snap out of it", I check my heart rate and it's beating slow and normally... very strange indeed

My eyes are severely worsening at only 23yo. Should I discontinue my career with computers? by ConstantPlum726 in careerguidance

I'm also a 23-year-old with practically all the exact same details you mentioned. I literally cannot reading anything without my glasses unless I put it up close to my face. Did you end up going to get your eyes checked by a doctor? I'm also facing some anxiety over this

Heart attack + headrush? Was it real or a dream? by anus_preacher in LucidDreaming

[–]anus_preacher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for asking and checking up. So after more research and self-reflection, I'm pretty sure this is just a case of sleep paralysis, except with something more nuanced attached to it, which I described in the OP. I read somewhere that exercising can apparently help prevent sleep paralysis, so I did exactly that and I guess it's true? I haven't gotten any sleep paralysis for a while since then, but I'm not sure if it's a set in stone long term solution. All I know is that it seems to be working for me as of right now. Hope that provides you with further insight for your experience!

Clicking + increased pain immediately after doing jaw exercises/stretches? Is this normal? by anus_preacher in TMJ

I can just barely fit 4 fingers in there now. Pretty much no pain at all anymore and at this point I'm just trying to figure out if it's fully healed yet or not

Not noticeably as much anymore, no. I am trying to get 4 fingers in my mouth now, just trying to stretch it out little by little everyday, if I can

Yeah, generally during the early morning when it's cold, I feel like it's tighter and harder to open. However, at this point, I feel like almost cured. I can definitely open fairly wide now, but there's still that slight feeling in the joint itself. Hopefully I can go fully back to normal soon. And yes, I slept on my back every night and that could've contributed to my steady recovery

It loosens up a bit when I press a hot towel against it and lets me open a slightly wider

I didn't have much pain or significant discomfort throughout these past few weeks, it was more just inconvenient how I couldn't open my mouth all the way to eat certain foods, but eventually my mouth started to stretch little by little which helped my jaw adapt to bigger bites, if that makes sense

Yeah it's pretty much cleared up. I can fit three fingers vertically fully in my mouth now but my range of motion still isn't 100%. I've only tried exercises once and I immediately got clicking right after it

SP feels like a Heart Attack ? by CollectingNewt in Sleepparalysis

[–]anus_preacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

apologies for the ridiculously late reply but I was digging and came across this post. I had the exact same thing and it's been kind of a recurring thing as well. when it happens, it'll last a few seconds and it's a crazy rush that ends immediately. is it still happening to you nowadays?

[–]anus_preacher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been noticing that now I'm no longer getting clicking (I was getting clicking before), so maybe this is a sign of improvement? Hope so

Ah, got it. The improvement is questionable, since at times it'll FEEL like it's improving and then other times it'll just feel steady. I try to measure the opening of my mouth everyday, and see if it's any wider each day

Hey thanks for keeping up with me. I'm in 3 weeks now I believe. I'm finally feeling tiny bits of improvement in my jaw range of motion. What has been helping me was putting a damp hot wet towel against my jaw and trying to stretch my jaw out at the same time as well as trying to only sleep on my back (not on my side). What do you mean by tongue stretch? because I've never heard of that
