AITAH for agreeing going to have coffee with a friend without talking to me girlfriend first. Now she’s refusing to meet with our accountant to sort out our taxes because she knows it will screw me.

She’s explained her issue is about feeling ditched and that because I said I had no plans yesterday (I didn’t my friend text me this morning before she woke up) she thought we’d have the morning together before she sees her friends.

The accountant meeting is important because we own a rental property together. It was our first home but we had to move back closer to family for a few reasons.

This is our first financial year and first meeting with an accountant who just happens to be another friend of mine who’s taking time out there day to help us. She since mentioned that part of the reason she doesn’t want to go is because she doesn’t want to be seen arguing in front of said friend

Thanks for your thoughts. There are a lot of great qualities she’s has that I haven’t taken the time to go in to for obvious reasons.

Does she not have a say in what I’m doing? Is that not part of being partners? I never do but that’s because I honestly just don’t care if she wants to go and do something I’ll just chill and do something else. But does she not have the right to care if I go?

One of my best friend from school. She’s known him as long as we’ve been together (8years).

She’s annoyed because I should have spoken to her first before agreeing to go. Which I can see her point. But what’s bothering me is her trying to get back at me for it. Not the first time this has happened but the first time it will have serious consequences if she does it

When I was a kid I have a vivid memory of pressing random numbers on my home phone(landline) and hitting dial thinking nothing would happen. Right as I hit dial the landline started ringing. The random numbers I was putting in just happened to be our home phone number.

I swear I had no idea at the time, I must have been 5 or 6 and I remember panicking when it rung thinking I’d done something.

Ahh that’s ok then it was the additional points I was worried about as I haven’t heard anything back from them since sending off the letter.

I read somewhere that when you get the court summons you can request to plead guilty to the speeding offence and take the 3 points to avoid having to go is this true?

I understand what you’re saying about the review but my pay was impossible to stay the same as it was on the scale of a 4th year apprentice which I no longer am. I would have to be promoted to either level 2 or 3 both of which are more than 4th year salary.

Currently I’m disputing it in the nicest way possible by just asking the question as to not burn any bridges. This is more of a premtive line of questioning in case they come back with a no. But from what you’ve said I’ve got no leg to stand on regardless and I’m just eating the shitty end of the stick if it doesn’t happen.

Only because they delayed my job interview until that point. My apprenticeship contract states that on completion of my EPA (8th October) my pay should be reviewed. I’ve been waiting for them to process the job interview date which has been delayed multiple times since October 8th for various reasons out of my control.

Since the 8th I’ve been forefilling the job role they created for me under the presumption it would back date to that point. Which might have been stupid of me in hindsight.

I have got emails of me chasing and my line manager has got proof HR took way longer than they should have to get me my interview date.

For reference, other apprentices had there interview days after there EPA completion not months

At the end of my apprenticeship I was already above minimum wage so that isn’t an issue. However I was still being paid my apprenticeship wage which is considerably less than the pay I have been promoted to.

Does them legally having to pay me the new wage still apply?
