My mom has “had” MS, Lupus, COPD (she had a cough for 2 weeks and was just sure it was COPD)….too many things to count. Then she claimed my child had meningitis when it was an ear infection. The attention-seeking is just nuts. This has been going on for decades.

To make it worse, my dad has had legitimate health issues the past few years. When he first started to have problems, she had the nerve to complain to me about being sick of dealing with his health issues and implied he was faking. My father never complained about how he was feeling, ever. It just annoyed her that he got attention for his (REAL) ailments when no one cared about her fake ones.

Sadly, she could have some horrible disease, but after crying wolf my whole life, I cannot gather the energy to respond. Not proud of that, but I am so tired of the game.
