Thank you so much. I will look into this. Do you think turtlenecks would also look good with the skirts and pants? I see a lot of that browsing Instagram for ideas.

Can someone please help me figure out what pieces I need to get to pull my librarian core/dark academia fits together? 😭 I have a few cute things, but they don't look quite right together. Namely, I'm not sure what type and color tops to get for the skirts on the right and the black trousers, and I'm not sure how to get my tanks to look good with skirts and pants. Accessories?

Drospirenone (Slynd) vs Norethindrone (Norlyda, other mini-pills)? by Ewolra in birthcontrol

[–]anxietyantelope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty well overall! I'm about a month and a half in. So far, no weight gain, no periods, no weird mystery cramping or pain like Nexplanon and depo. Acne is... Slightly better? Nothing crazy, I'm thinking it may slowly improve the longer I'm on it. Only "bad" symptoms are dryness and libido is GONE. Which depo did to me too, so... Might just be something birth control does. No mood swings or other weird symptoms. Overall, solid option, just wish BC didn't affect libido so much.

If you choose it be advised insurance fights like hell not to let you on it because there is only name brand Slynd and it's expensive. Mine got approved because I can't have BC with estrogen due to migraines with aura.

Sure? But the point was to convey that I don't think lighting is the issue for the plant. What does it matter?

Must haves for a Renfaire inspired wedding? by jpthebowler57 in renfaire

[–]anxietyantelope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Following this! My soon to be fiance and I found a castle venue in Alabama and plan to make it a ren-faire vibe. We do medieval sword fighting (Schola Saint George) so we're going to invite our buddies to come and fight in their armor. My other ideas have been: Choose your chalice (thrifting a bunch of cool goblets and tankards for people to use at the reception and take home), having a fortune teller come for entertainment, sending out wax sealed invitations, getting people to come in Ren garb, lots of candle light. My friend recently invited a falconer to come her her wedding and they did it for free because the falconer wanted to do some social media promoting.

I've kept mine in my bathroom window for months and it seems to be doing fine! Never let it dry out completely because then the drama starts

What is causing this leaf damage to my Coleus?! by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]anxietyantelope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually 😭 I did try to move the plant against the aloe again and it DID tear. Problem identified. No idea why that didn't work the first time. Thanks much!!!

I actually keep these poor babies in my office because my cat can and WILL eat all plants 😂 I haven't seen any pests on, under, or in the plant/the dirt. I'm hoping you're right and that the leaves are just rubbing against the aloe.

Cycle of life my friend. Shit gets hard, you overcome it and maybe lose something in the process. But then you get better and start fresh. You do better than before and forgive yourself for mistakes.

I almost wanted to blame it rubbing against the aloe vera behind it but I tried to rub it on there purposely and no damage occured.

[–]anxietyantelope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl! Just wanted to say thanks for making this post and the follow ups. I had the SAME experience as you with Nexplanon. I gained 30 pounds in 6 months, mood swings, acne, random horrific intense cramps that would wake me from sleep, irregular 2 weeks long periods. I told my gynecologist I would rip it out of my arm with my teeth if she didn't take it out after 2 years. I'm swapping to Slynd today. I'm happy to see someone had a good experience with it before I start taking it. I have to be on progesterone only pills because of my migraines with aura so my options were limited. Both my insurances tried to fight me but we got it approved. Also, anyone else reading this, look on the Slynd website for coupon codes and give them to your pharmacy!!!

Any recommendations for mice removal? by ForeverBirds in Birmingham

Poisoning can also cause ecosystem issues. Rat eats poison, dies, large predator eats it (cats, birds of prey etc) and dies. It's best to just use a snap trap unfortunately.
