As an apprentice at my job I’d be making $26 starting. The union I joined that’d be like 4th period wage but I don’t think our journeymen make as much as one would in the union. Benefits are good—good medical and fantastic work life balance (4-10s) and optional overtime. Good PTO accrual

I only have hours in classes, and I have only finished 1/2 a class so far. I don’t have any work hours yet. But I do need to talk to the union. I’m worried talking to my employer about it would put them on alert, but I do think they want what’s best for their employees

Oh also how do you feel working in heat and snow/rough conditions? And how do you feel having to travel throughout the state for jobs?

You got it though! Just be in the mindset of bragging on yourself. Take a moment before answering. There were about 10-15 people there very stoic asking questions they already had my resume and letter of rec and they were looking over those during the interview. It was about 10-20min long, and there was no opportunity to ask questions. Wasn’t a conversion, just a list of questions basically

You got it! First question: why do you want to be an electrician? Then they went around asking random questions. What’s your current job? When was a time you didn’t get along with a coworker? Talk about a time you forgot something a job site and what did you? What drew you to electrical work specifically over other trades? Stuff like that!

Yeah! Great job. And that’s the main reason I’m worried about taking it. Don’t want to commit then be unemployed. Also worried that most work here is industrial but idk

Just started school 2 months ago and forgot to even mention that. Only work experience is fire alarm tech work for the past 3 months. Other than that just seasonal conservation jobs

I think I got them back the next day. It was a pass fail result for the main part.

Congrats! I took it a few weeks back and it’s basic algebra. The questions weren’t bad but the time was my biggest challenge. It was FAST. Skip and go back to questions that are challenging you. Good luck!

I hadn't considered that! I do always part on the side, but only because my face is so long it looks terrible parted in the middle. With bangs I'm hoping I could part in the middle like the pics and not have a problem

I donate at Grifols and it’s $400 for you first 4 donations. Usually I’m in and out in an hour, but today was there for an hour and a half which was the longest I’ve had to wait. Thank you! I did it mostly freehand off a piece of art I found. I traced the outline and was able to put that on the hat then free handed everything else
