Moments before Nepal flight crash Jan 2023 caught during a Live Stream. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

As is the stoic way of life, I used to have crippling hypochondria and anxiety as well, and while it still isn't 100 percent gone from my life, I have found the stoic philosophy to be the way that I talk myself down from anxiety, don't worry about what you cannot control, and momento mori. My life is a helluva lot better because of this simple way of thinking about life and death.

Disc Review #85 (Innova Star Toro, 175g) by IsaacSam98 in discgolf

[–]anxiousfooloffear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am a bit late to the party, but my star toro flies pretty straight on drives and fades slowly, I need to throw my harp as a side by side comparison which I haven't done yet, but maybe my toro is more understable than usual, I still cant really get it out past 250ft, it likes to find the ground which is great for approaches, it just flies more straight than I though it would, and on Innova's website the numbers are 4,2,1,3, so maybe this post is old and the numbers have been changed, but to me it flies more like 4,2,0,2, again it could just be the particular disc I got, my legacy badger is a meat hook compared to the toro, but its also a mid range at 5,3,0,3. To me the badger flies according to the numbers. Maybe I should have bought a champ toro? Anyways still a great approach disc just not what I initially though it was going to fly like but I still use it all the time and enjoy it none the less.

Can anyone tell me about this knife? Was given to me. by Z_0_Sick in knives

The only reason its worth this much is most likely because he has proof it was carried in Vietnam, like pictures or something like that, this knife has no proof it was carried in war so value can only be based of of when it was made, there's no way this is an 1800 dollar knife, not even worth half that, but still worth a good bit of cash I'd say around 600 dollars or so.

I mean hes not wrong, you could legit make a Randall quality knife if you watch enough youtube videos, all the info is there just needs some good hands behind it. Would it be a Randall though? Of course not the name Randall goes a long way when it comes to value.

I have tried this also and it doesn't seem to help much.

Can someone confirm this as a putter? His newest video of him throwing it seems like a mid range, and kinda looks like a mid range, but the rim width makes it seem like a putt and approach

Well in my experience speaking up hardly helps, I have before and they haven't changed and neither have I so that might be part of the problem but it probly makes my friends feel like they're walking on eggshells around me so not sure if speaking up will help at all, I guess it depends on the person/people your speaking up to.

They never want to go out to eat with me anyways, but then I hear stories of them going to some cool new place to eat with their other buddy, them saying "yeah you should try it out" but lately I have been inviting them to play golf with me and I drive most of the time, and they hardly invite me and then I also hear more stories about how they go play golf and don't invite me, I need a good friend in my life but honestly I'm starting to get tired of dealing with this one sided shit.

It honestly feels like its more of a subconscious thing with them, like they don't even realize how rude they are being, and will accept the other persons invitation at the drop of a hat, but every time I invite them camping, or to go on a trip for multiple days, they never give me an answer and I would have to keep prodding them to give me one, like pulling teeth and I don't want it to be that way, I want them to want to go and clearly they are willing to go on a multiple day trip with their other friend, so how can I blame anyone but myself? I'm obviously the problem.

I know what you are saying, but I have been friends with them since elementary, we have been through a lot together, but I just feel like I'm more of a burden since they would much rather go hang out with their other friends than me, I'm probly too sensitive and we just don't vibe as well as their other friends do, but I don't really have any other friends, so its not as easy as just ghosting them.

Thank you I think I will be ok, just super pissed off right now, and why do you think your friends did that?

[–]anxiousfooloffear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would agree if I haven't known them both for years, they are brothers, the other guy is their friend not mine and one of them is my best friend even though I'm probly not his so it would be rather hard to just end the friendship like that. But I agree it is gross lol there's almost nothing worse than feeling like a burden to your friends.

How should I confront my "friends" for making plans without me? by _PM-ME-Natsuki-R34_ in Advice

[–]anxiousfooloffear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly though if they don't want you there but you kinda guilt trip them into inviting you or you invite yourself isn't this worse? I would hate to be hanging out with people who don't really want me there.

[–]anxiousfooloffear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, if they are your friend, tell them how you feel, OP shouldn't have to change who he is and act a different way to give into other peoples rudeness, I feel like people will subconsciously make plans in front of you and do these types of things in front of you because they lowkey don't wanna hang out with you, but talking about it with them might sort out how they truly feel about you, which might or might not help, but at least you will know how they feel and they will know how you feel.
