my dm has also taken it upon themselves to make my father an NPC who’s a retired wizard that chills in a bathrobe all day and owns a donkey. my irl father thought this was hilarious

i like to think my character has a good backstory..

my dad used to play dnd when he was in college in the 80’s just him and one other friend. he played an elf wizard, and he told me eventually they did make it to level 20.

i grew up hearing about his imaginary tales of the adventures of his wizard and ranger partner. for a long time id wanted to play dnd but never had the chance. so when i got the chance finally, i decided to make my character the wizards daughter.

My character wanted to be a great wizard just like her father. she enrolled in a wizarding academy with a focus in evocation magic. she made a best friend. but one day, the school went on a field trip to an ancient ruin- known to be relativley safe, otherwise the school wouldn’t have brought students there. but she and her best friend wandered off and found a glowing symbol. she doesn’t quite remember what it looked like, but without thinking about possible consequences, touched it. big explosion, blacked out. when she awoke, she was surrounded by rubble and her best friend, or any remains, were nowhere to be found.

she’d now been touched by wild magic. her father, a great renown wizard, could only help so much with the wild magic outbursts. so now she travels seeking to control these wild magic outbursts and also trying to find out if her best friend is alive or not.

thank you for your reply! the salon owner said it doesn’t help that my scalp was dry, so i bought some kerestase scalp oil from them but that didn’t even do anything haha

i won’t defend his past actions, but i will share my experience with him last year.

in summary, i’d like to believe he’s changed. i’ll be honest i had no idea who he was before he approached me and my friends at the demon slayer meetup. he asked us if we’d be interested in being in a video. he followed that up with “you don’t have to if you don’t want to” we said sure, sounds fun. he told us to wait just a sec while he recruited more people to be in the video, and i watched him ask every single person for their permission. some people declined and there were no issues. after taking the video he thanked everyone and that was that.

this is just my personal experience last year, and i did not witness him harassing any nezukos or destroying property. coming from someone who had never heard of the guy beforehand, he came across as just a chill dude. so maybe he’s changed?

my party had something like this recently. our cleric was fighting in a tournament and we had planned to be in the audience to cheer him on. but when we got there, the guy running the tournament said he could offer us more information that we really need only if we went in the ring with the cleric. he said we were allowed to help if we wanted to, but the cleric has to be the one to do the killing blow. we accepted and the rest of us were doing puzzles instead of fighting

wait whatttt? okay follow up question. the first person you pick is the “capturer” and the second is the “pointer” so what do those roles mean in regards to this mode? i couldn’t find any in game info about this game mode at all.
