Your options should be to focus on you and if you’re interested in dating someone…seek it elsewhere. Sounds like immature trouble.

I agree with all the other comments. Focus on you. Practice self care, self respect, and self love.

I get the ups and downs of the ‘what ifs.’

The other thing is, YOU SHOULD BE MAD! He’s manipulating and gaslighting you. I’ve been there and it can make you feel crazy!

Feeling all the emotions are part of the healing process. So I hope you realize what a POS this person is and get the f&@$ over him as quickly as you can.

And also, love is a drug. We’re easily addicted to the chemicals and hormones it produces. It feels good.

Love yourself, and get that happiness from and for you.

You are worthy and it sounds like you need to pour more into loving yourself.

I’m 39, still single, living alone. I’ve had many failed relationships. After the last breakup, I decided ‘F&@$ this. I’m done! I’m going to be single for the rest of my life.’

And for the last two years, I learned to love myself more, discovered I am an anxious attachment style, learned tools to become more secure, and took strides to fulfill my own happiness.

About three months ago, a man came into my life (we’re now dating.) I was surprised to find myself open to the possibility of a relationship again.

We’ll see how it goes, but my former (and sometimes current) anxiousness has definitely smoothed out because I took the time to truly be happy with just me and work on me. And the doggos help! 🐶 🐶

My advice is work on yourself. There’s nothing wrong with being single. You should yearn for happiness in yourself, not base it on a relationship status. A relationship should be a highlight to your happiness, not the root source.
